Toys for Tots

Post#1 » by davefmcl » Mon Nov 29, 2010 7:56 pm

Has anybody seen any info on the Hawks/Thrashers Toys for Tots promotion? Every year for at least 5 years running they do a deal where you donate a new toy and get a coupon for 2 free tickets? Last year Applebee's and KIA were the co-sponsors.

Answered my own question finding this: http://www.nba.com/hawks/community/Toy_Drive_1011.html

The Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Thrashers are teaming-up with Kia Motors and Operation Homefront Georgia to assist families of our service members and wounded warriors. From December 1st through December 19th, both teams will be collecting new, unwrapped toys at any participating Greater Metro Atlanta Kia Retailer or at select Hawks and Thrashers home games to benefit the Operation Homefront holiday toy drive. Fans that donate a new, unwrapped toy will be able to receive a voucher good for two complimentary tickets to a select upcoming Hawks or Thrashers game (maximum: 1 voucher per person, while supplies last).

Drop-Off Locations: Toys will be collected at the Marta, CNN, Centennial Olympic Park Drive and First Horizon entrances, as well as at participating Greater Metro Atlanta Kia retailers.

With the Lockout over, anybody seen details for 2011. Kia was still a sponsor in 2010, but Applebees dropped out.
