Joe Johnson's value

Post#1 » by raleigh » Tue Nov 29, 2011 6:25 pm

Just curious how much JJ would get per season if the Hawks went crazy and use the amnesty on him. He's not gonna get waived...but just curious what you think other teams with cap space would pay him.

Yeah probably 10-12, but I honestly wouldn't give him more than the MLE.

12-14 mil. He's not worth the 17-24 he will be paid as currently set. He really is getting a bad rap mainly because of the team and his lack of fit for a team he leads. If Atlanta lands CP3, his contract won't stand out so much like Pau Gasol.

10m, he dropped off massively last season and is going to be a net negative on the court three years from now.

10+ easily. I know Chicago would give him that.

10-14 million and he'll be signing for the Bulls.

Yep, Rose-JJ will be a nice combo.

That would be a perfect fit for Joe and Rose. Atlanta is a team with no good fits, no idenity, and no size. They just have three very good players who are severely underrated on here. Teague has potential and Jamal is great off the bench. They need a superstar, a PG that's a real playmaker, and a center with size. But mainly the superstar is what they need.

That's if Minnesota didn't outbid you.
