Looking ahaed and buying financial flexibility
JJ + Rolle* (*might not be necessary) for

Nick Young
JC2 (yes!)
K. Seraphin now it is not a waste if you compare those 3 and JJ two years from now

investing in young future and having multiple trading assets to lure a C and/or trade either or Josh and/or JC1

Teague- KH- Sy
Young -JC1- JC2
Marvin- Damian-Young
Smith- Seraphin-Horford
Horford-Zaza- Benson

i don't think Washington wants Joe. the only teams that would be interested in Joe would be Chicago, OKC, and Orlando

I'd add Cleveland as a possible buyer, but remove OKC from the list. My logic is that OKC has Westbrook, Harden, and Ibaka on rookie deals. That's a lot of raises to factor in for the next few years. Taking on Joe would create financial problems down the road that the ownership has been careful to avoid. Cleveland is in a different spot where they have large money sitting on the roster right now with no future in Cleveland (Jamison and Davis are 2). They have 2 of their new building blocks in place but they'll be on rookie deals for the remainder of Joe's contract meaning they could absorb Joe's contract to get his skill and leadership as well as the boost in competitiveness to keep the fans hopes up without a long rebuilding period. The key other pieces they have at PG and PF wouldn't be eligible for raises until Joe is at the end of his deal as either the SG or SF.

Spot on with Chicago and Orlando though. Chicago is trying to win now and SG is their weakest lineup spot and Joe has always played Dwayne Wade very well. The problem with Chicago is more who'd they'd like to dump in any deal (Boozer overlaps our strength position). Orlando is a buyer as long as they hope to keep Dwight Howard. Joe would be a wing upgrade for them and they have contracts for salary match.

Naw, Washington is in full rebuild mode now around the young guns and I'm sure they want to maintain 2012 cap flexibility. Just don't see Joe as a possibility for them.

Never say never. Except when trading anyone not named Horford with the Hawks.
