So, would you send Joe and Jeff to Boston for Rondo and Ray? Helps with our future payroll and we would not take a step back IMO. What u think?

Re: Rondo? Would You?
I'd assume they wouldn't want Joe, so it becomes a question of what would you trade for Rondo? His best friend is Josh Smith so I doubt that swap would make for a happy PG. Our other big asset is Al. I wouldn't trade Al for Rondo instead I'd wait to see if Jeff Teague can maintain his playoff performance. If he can then we have a credible PG and still have Al.
If it wasn't for the best friend thing then a trade with Josh for Rondo at the heart would make good sense (Teague would probably be in it as well). I'm suspect of our prospects of resigning Josh at the end of his current deal. Acquiring Rondo would give us a Rondo/Joe/Marvin/Al core for 3-4 years. You put a C with that and you've got an interesting matchup with the Heat.
It seems to me that Rondo is being shopped to create a new big 3 possibility in Boston because I guess he's not seen as shooting well enough to be part of that big 3. I think that ignores all the things that Rondo does do. This guy has produced triple doubles in big game scenarios. I don't think that should be ignored.

i personally think that Rondo/Crawford > Joe/Teague
but i'm more willing to do this trade, just for a straight up cap purposes. either keep Rondo, or trade him for cap space and a high pick and be one of the teams that has the cap to sign a max player in 2012 or 2013, i'm okay with it either way
