Teague, Marvin, and Zaza for Chris Paul
Horford, and Kirk for Dwight
Not wanting to trade within the division is just a dumb myth. if you check out the Orlando board, they could careless about what team Dwight goes too, they just want to get a good player in return.
Hawks have to at least have to try one if not both of the trades. if they don't, then the Hawks organization is just grossly incompetent, and flat out unbelievably pathetic.

^^^ Don't mistake fan board with team ownership/management. They have to compete with division opponents every year. It makes sense to minimize the direct competition with the best defensive center in the league. You send him locally and he could be keeping your team down in the standings for half a decade or more. Short term people remember that he forced his way out, long term they start wondering why he was sent "there." Also the reason Washington wasn't on a list of teams that could talk directly to Dwight without tampering charges. We can offers to Orlando, but without permission from them to talk to Dwight we can't determine if he would sign long term.
As for Paul, Teague won't sign an extension until opting out because the rules don't favor it. As such it would be hard to lose Josh or Al in trade and have him walk. Offering Teague, Hinrich, Marvin, and the picks might be worth the risk of convincing Paul to sign at the end of year. Mind you if the money is remotely close in free agency I might leave on principal if I was him next summer. Nasty situation.

this is just BS and has no real foothold in the real world. GMs make trades with other teams in the same division all the time!!!!
Vince was traded from TOR to NJN, Cedric Cebalos was traded from PHX to LAL, Kidd was traded from DAL to PHX, Mitch Richmond was traded from GSW to SAC, Rodney Rogers was traded from DEN to LAC, McDyess was traded from DEN to PHX, Nash was traded from PHX to DAL, Camby was traded from TOR to NY, Barkley was traded from PHX to HOU, Mourning was traded from CHA to MIA, Steve Smith was traded from MIA to ATL, etc, etc, etc

Clippers are offering Kaman, Bledsoe, Al-Farouq, and pick for CP3.......
Teague is better than all of the above listed easily. Hawks can easily beat this with a Teague trade.
It would be pathetic for the Hawks or any fan who doesn't try to make an offer to the Hornets.

I agree. If Stern lets that deal go through it is clear favoritism to the Clippers and wanting them to have a winner. That is a garbage trade if I have ever seen one. A bunch of if's and a expiring contract for a MVP candidate.
Teague, Hinrich's expiring, Zaza, and 2 1st round picks and 2 2nd rd picks for Paul
Teague greater than anything in that package. Hinrich's expiring is on par with Kaman's. Zaza is a legit asset for a team that is not interested in winning. 2 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks for a team starting over is greater than 1 1st round pick no matter if it is a lotto pick because you can't decide which pick you get in the lotto. Atleast you will know that you will have 2 picks in the 20's and 2 2nd rd picks

Uhm, isn't it clear? Stern wants a pure salary dump with young prospects tossed about. The pure opposite side of the spectrum of the Laker/Hou deal he killed.
Teague and his 5 games is not separating him from two higher drafted sophomores, a likely top 5 pick and former All Star (I know, I know. lol) expiring Center.
