I have no problem the way he has played this year, I think he's been All- Star level this year. This game notwithstanding but who did anything in this one??

Worst performance of the year by far. Also I don't know what Josh said to get benched. If it was for bad play (taken out right after a turnover) then LD picked the worst time to do it because it reinforces Josh's feelings of persecution. A lot of people played crappy tonight and he seemed to take it out on Teague and Josh. Mind you Josh has deserved many benchings in his career and not gotten them, I just don't like him singled out for mistakes when the whole team played crappy. Even Ivan Johnson wasn't playing with his normal energy tonight.

Also whatever Larry Drew says at halftime, just stop. This team has more flat 3 quarters than any other team in the league. It's either that or the other team makes halftime adjustments and the Hawks don't because it always feels like we get spanked in the 3rd quarter.

Enough of my griping. We have to regroup and win the next 3 at home.

P.S. - Bad day to entertain Kenyon Martin. Didn't exactly look like a contender out there.

Josh Smith is a beast in the pick and roll but that's about it. and fans telling him to drive the ball are dumb. He shouldn't ever even be in that position. His handles and shooting off the dribble against size are mediocre at best. Post him up against smaller or weaker forwards but I still remember Scalabrine beasting him. He struggles driving against size.

His handles are mediocre. Iso Joe and Iso Josh will only get you so far in the NBA.

And Lmao at the pick and roll he and Joe ran up the gut of the defense. What was that supposed to do.?
Mediocre coached team. Lack adjustments and easy points production.

Josh Smith is a beast in the pick and roll but we never run it. We must be the only team that doesnt run it. It's like a conspiracy. Its ludicrous. We have a high flyer who cant shoot ... but make him run pick and rolls up the gut (where hes small and wont get the ball), post up bigger defenders (where he cant see or shoot over them) and iso him at the top of the key?

Josh isn't a beast at anything. He should have been traded during that road trip. You have to trade him when he looks good just like ZAZA,MARVIN,JOE, and KIRK. Get rid of all your contracts during the next winning streak.

Josh Smith isn't a beast at pick and roll? Then who is superiorman? I want to see who qualifies in your superior definition of "beast at pick and roll".

the offensive rebounding by the Griz SFs was just too much, Marvin and Joe should have really put an end to that and not let it get out of control like it did.

it was an ugly game, but for me it wasn't a big deal, because if they won it keeps the team on a high when Phily comes into town, or if they lose, then it gives the team the kick in the pants to focus and not let the Sixers steal a win from the Hawks, like they did in Philadelphia a few weeks ago.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
