I want to see Al give the Hawks 10 minutes in the last 2 or 3 games just so he can get his legs back and his lungs back.
If the Hawks are going to get the Celtics, the team is really going to need to get Al to go up against KG's speed.

Re: Al Horford
Yeah, not a bad idea.
i just hope Lary drew doesn't make the mistake of forcing a ton of minutes on Horford too soon.
The last 2 - 3 games of the season probably won't be too competitive, given the time of year.
And in the playoffs, i wouldn't be opposed to seeing AL come off the bench for a game or two so he can he re-acclimated to the flow ofthe team. J-Smoove and Joe have carried us thus far as options 1 & 1a. Let's not completely abandon that at the start of the post-season. This, of course, is dependent on Zaza returning to the fold.
Plus, a bench of Horford, Ivan, Marvin and the guys seems like it could actually be more than enough to give us a boost against ANYBODY'S second unit.

Zaza has done a great job on Hibbert and Dwight, but i think Horford will do a better job on KG. If the Hawks face the Celtics, hopefully Horford will be at full speed.

It's going to be difficult for him to gain his wind back, but 10 minutes in 2 or 3 games won't do it, and I think it's pointless. He was recently able to start contact drills.

Re: Al Horford
Yeah, after reading todays article in the AJC, I agree that 10-12 minutes won't do it.
And since the team has few full contact practices at this point of the compacted season, seems like actual game play will be his only way to play into real game shape.
And even THAT may not do it. We'll get to see what LD can do against the (2nd?) best coach in the conference in the playoffs. If he keeps us competitive, as injury plagued as we are, he might earn himself an extension.
I'm not honestly not sure what to root for?
