I have 0 desire to watch Kwame Brown lumber around as part of our team.

I'd honestly rather have Jason Collins back...

I HATE Kwame Brown.

Lumber around is what Jason Collins does. Kwame Brown is big and athletic. he moves almost as good as a SF. he just can't catch an entry pass to save his life. but I wouldn't mind seeing him as a Hawk because he would be better defensively than ZaZa in the paint. and ZaZa and Kwame would be a better one two punch than Collins and Zaza. he would be much better than what we have had the last 10 years on our bench at the 5

Since Sheldon Williams and Cal Bowdler played as PFs and Al Horford wants to play PF, I had to look all the way back to 1996 to find the last time we drafted a REAL Center for ourselves in the first round: Priest Lauderdale.
The last time we drafted a real Center who was even decent was Jon Koncak in 1985.
And the last time we drafted a good Center in the first round was Tree Rollins in 1977
.

If the NBA ever announces a 6-foot-and-under league, we'll be considered visionaries.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Potential is okay for a 19 year old. Not for a 27 year old.

He basically lead the Hawks in scoring last year. Also, how can you knock him for not leading the team in scoring and rebounding when he has played with Al Horford and Joe Johnson for the past 5 years? Of course those two are going to beat him in those categories.

That's my point. AL showed up and lead the team in rebounding from day one. As a rookie, undersized Center. Al's scoring increased every full season he played. Al's shooting % increased every full season he played. Al plays hard every game.

JJ showed up and led the team in scoring and assist in every full season (before this one).

Teague showed up and led the team in assists in his first full season as a starter.

It took Josh seven years to get to 18ppg and 9rpg. He is in his prime now. I don't foresee him putting up numbers like this for much longer. I don't foresee him improving much more at age 27.

Hell, Josh's best season is eerily identical to one of Pau Gasol's WORST seasons.

If Josh has been our best player for so many years, why has he only led the team in blocks, dunks and boneheaded plays? I am a guy who prefers production over potential. Smith has loads of untapped potential, but his production has been uneven and unspectacular.

18/9/4/2 are good numbers. But NOT good enough to make him irreplaceable. Especially when you consider his shooting, decision making and bad attitude.

I'm not sure of the rest of the guys rumors, but that one was accurate.

"They continue to get a lot of calls about Josh Smith but the impetus for pursuing Pau Gasol came from Rick Sund and Ferry so far hasn’t taken that baton. Ferry hasn’t even had a chance to fully assess the roster or meet the players".

so yeah, the story was never true and it was just twitter and blogger agenda.

You seemed to have missed the part that the guy who was GM up until last week was actually pursuing Pau......It says it right there in what you quoted.
