Re: Anthony Tolliver
he must have promised Smoove that he was going to be the starting SF. if so than Krover is the back-up. and guess Morrow is the third. so I believe that Danny Ferry may feel we are set at SF.

Morrows a 2 and even if not, he is better than Korver.
I honestly think Jenkins is the odd man out here.
But at the end of the day Teague, Harris, Williams, Morrow and Stevenson are all guys good enough to log minutes at 2 spots. Ferry has to move someone.

Re: Anthony Tolliver
Well, if we know LD, and we do, Jenkins is in a tough spot. He's got 4 vets in front of him and if you give Korver any minutes at the 3, forget about him getting rebounds. I can see Stevenson playing the 3 though.
Lou / Morrow / Korver and Jenkins is excellent depth at the 2. I see Stevenson getting the minutes against top scorers though and LD will compensate with getting points elsewhere.
Korver making too much to be sitting and watching IMO. I think he will get the Hinrich treatment until he proves otherwise.

We have four players that I am almost sure will long minutes at the two over Morrow, unless one of them are traded. they are Jenkins, Teague, Harris, and Williams. I do think that Morrow is more of a 2 than a 3. but on this team i see him playing the 3 more along with Smoove( with him playing some 4 but more 3 this season), Korver, and Stevenson. Morrow, he is 6'6" he can handle it.
now that is how I would have the depth chart
Harris/ Teague
Williams/ Jenkins
Smoove/ Krover
Horford/ Ivan
Zaza/ Petro
but knowing LD he will run with
Harris/ Teague
Williams/ Morrow
Korver/ Stevenson
Smoove/ Ivan
Horford/ Zaza
which isn't bad I just believe we need more size in the front court since the back court is so small now.

Re: Anthony Tolliver
I would like to see the depth chart as follows:
C - Zaza / Petro / Jordan
PF - Horford / Ivan / Scott
SF - Smoove / Korver
SG - Morrow / Lou Will / Jenkins / Stevenson (DEF situations)
PG - Teague / Devin
I think with Lou, Devin, and Ivan being our primary backups, our team could really be more competitive vs 2nd units which may directly lead to win enough to make the Playoffs.

^^ i don't see Harris starting over Teague, because Harris is just a one year rental and Teague at 23yr is better than Harris.

I don't think that Morrow will start. not sure i would want him to. I believe that devin will out shine Teague. I know there is a good number of Teague fans. but Harris does the same thing teague does only better. I could see Teague starting at the point and Harris starting at the two with Williams backing both up. but I don't see Morrow in any circumstance starting over either Teague, Williams, or Harris.

Harris is indeed a rental. But LD is coaching for his job. If Harris has a good camp, I could see him emerging as a starter at PG or SG.
In his best season, Harris avg 21 ppg and 7 apg. And that was on a bad NJ team. Teague has more potential, but Harris is an established vet who's been an All Star, played in the NBA Finals and has avg 20+ ppg.
I predict Harris will snag one of the starting guard spots in a contract year.

Re: Anthony Tolliver
idk what my opening depth chart would look like, but if we keep everyone we currently have, I would like to see this depth chart by mid season.
Teague/Harris
Jenkins/Williams/Morrow
Smith/Korver/Stevenson
Horford/Ivan/Scott
Zaza/Petro/Jordan
This roster is pretty versatile as far as positions go. Zaza could play a little PF with Petro playing Center some. We can put Horford at Center some and move Smith to PF. I also think Teague, Harris and Willams can/will see time at both guard spots. What do you guys think the minutes for each player will be?

Re: Anthony Tolliver
I hope Teague outplays Harris. but I just feel that Harris is a better point(player) than Teague. so I believe that at some point Harris will surpass Teague on the Depth Chart. I hope we get one more big...... I would like it if the Hawks get Andray Blatche on a one year deal. I believe he would be motivated to play well for another contract.
Now before you laugh, if Blatche was on this team he would be our best option at the 5 or at the very least play some 5 to relieve Horford. Line up I would like to see
Harris/ Teague
Williams/ Jenkins
Smoove/ Korver
Horford/ Blatche/ Ivan
Zaza/ Blatche
Morrow
Stevenson
Petro
with either Benson or Jordan Williams

Re: Anthony Tolliver
Blatche as a one year rental could be worth a look. Washington's problem was always that they collected lazy, immature knuckleheads while providing no true leadership.
Javale McGee proved that on a solid team with a real Head Coach, he could be a productive player. I see Blatche doing something similar on better team.

I just wonder if there's enough ball handling in this group.
If Teague is the only guard who can create his own shot, I'm full court pressing that lineup until a second ball handler comes out on the floor. jenkins can shoot, but if you get in his face and pressure him one-on-one, he seems limited.
And Zaza's man would be free to roam on defense as Mr. Pachulia has bricks where his hands should be.
Athletic, defensive teams like OKC, Miami, Brooklyn, Chicago would kill this lineup and score a number of points in transition.

haha who's picking up fullcourt for Brooklyn? Deron or Joe? We'll see I guess. But its a damn shame that wasnt the depth chart last year when we had Joe still (with Zaza in over Marvin).

I expect both Josh Smith and Al Horford to play 35+ minutes. Playing them less makes no sense to me.

Re: Anthony Tolliver
You forgot Morrow in there (who is better than Korver and has the experience to be better defensively than Jenkins).
Plus, for that rotation to work, I am pretty sure eventually you are going to have to play 4 pf/C's or 4 guards at the same time.
