What will Al Horford's numbers be this season?

Horford's number two years ago when he was healthy was 16/10/.555FG

Does Horford's numbers go up or down, now that Joe is no longer here.

I'd wager he averages almost exactly the same.

Horford's three problems are that his nature is to defer, he is hesitant to pull the trigger, and he is mechanical in the post. Many times he passed up an open shot to pass it back out; without a post game, we also won't be able to post major points.

Between hustle, transition points, his midrange game and his ability to get to the line and hit freethrows, he will be around 17 points per game.

Joe took 15 and a half shots per game last year. Josh Smith took 16.7/game. Since it's hard to see Smith taking all 15.5 of Joe's shots and and since Horford has only been averaging around 10-12 shots/game, I have to assume Horford will be able to add around 4-6 of those shots.

Horford took 12.0 shots the year he averaged 15.3. If he takes 16 shots (he could take more) and plays a few more minutes because we're leaning on him a little more, I'd say his numbers would be 20-10.

Smith is the man whose situation jumps out at me. He could easily be an NBA leader in attempts (Kobe had 23), ending up as a major scorer (no matter his efficiency).

AL's scoring numbers increased every full season he played in the NBA.

His rebounding numbers have remained steady at 9+ per game.

Devin Harris, Jeff Teague and Louis Williams will likely be the beneficiary of Marvin and Joe's shots.

I say he'll match Josh's numbers from this season: 18 ppg and 9 rpg on 55% shooting.

I say 20/10, Joe is no longer here so I think Al will be the leader of this team, Teague can be more a facilitator without ball stopping Joe here and that he will get Al more touches and open looks from mid range, also the transition game were gonna play with small ball will get Al even more pts

I know Joe isn't here but Teague should improve a little and we added Devin Harris and Lou Williams. Assuming we play faster and uptempo I'll go 17-10. Teague will get around 15ppg and Smith will get 19-22.

There's no way he averages 19 points and 22 rebounds....

My concern with JOE gone is that he was always the focus of opposing defenses from the day he got here. He dealt with increased defensive pressure and double teams constantly. My fear is that either Teague as primary ball handler or Josh Smith as scoring option #1 will now be the primary target of opposing defenses.

I LOVE AL, but he'd crumble offensively under that constant defensive pressure.

Do we trust Teague or Josh to respond more ably to that pressure? I predict alot of bad Josh jumpers and alot of bad Teague turnovers in the early going.

I also predict that Devin Harris will be the beneficiary of this and should have a big season filling the gaps that Joe left...offensively anyway.

Teague should step up for us since Joe is gone.
