Sounds like Orlando has plenty of better options.

it takes two to trade, and that deal already fell through with Houston declining, because Bynum wouldn't commit

"Bucher said that Dwight will be pursuing legal action against the Magic for broken promises and is looking to get his opt-in rescinded"

as bad as things are for the Magic now, i wouldn't even accept Zaza for Dwight and JRich, and just wait for Dwight to walk.

Dwight is not going into negative trade value territory. that is just a foolish statement.

really, if Dwight guarantees not to resign, then what offer would a team like the Griz or Golden State, or Toronto, or etc. be?

According to espn, the rockets offered their 3 2012 draftees, multiple draft picks, kevin martin, patrick patterson, chandler parson and marcus morris for a combination of howard, turk, richardson, duhon and glenn davis. Now thats way too much but way better than zaza and two late draft picks.

yeah i know of that offer, but Houston ended up declining because they could not get a commitment from Bynum or Dwight. so it is horrible when it is the Rockets who are declining and not the Magic.

Report: Rockets to use amnesty clause on Luis Scola; set sights on Dwight Howard

Adrian Wojnarowski
@WojYahooNBA 12 Jul 12 Scola has three years and $21 million left on his contract. The Rockets are clearing space in pursuit of a Dwight Howard deal.

Doesn't sound like Houston is giving up on Dwight Howard to me.

Dwight for Varejao ($24 million) and draft picks

so yeah, Zaza ($5 million) is way better than offer any team can make for Dwight and JRich.

but i still wouldn't make the Zaza trade, because i don't see Dwight resigning with the Lakers.

lmao

Yeah, I believe we are all in agreement. DTOWN, this is one of the worst, most lopsided trade proposals anyone has ever put their name on.

Not to mention the fact that it is not allowed under the new CBA.

Seeinng how stubborn and bullheaded this guy is, I'm starting to suspect he is actually Monsterblock or Superiorblogman simply under a new name.

ROFL, it is hilarious that Jamaaliver does have a clue what he is talking about or how the NBA works, i recommend in actually thinking before posting, but i have a feeling that you never think before you post

Sorry guy, I can't help it, this guy is too good of a troll.

Varejao s***s all over Zaza as a player, and Cleveland picks would be far better than our picks would be if we had Smith, Horford, AND Dwight.

It frustrates me that you likely are allowed to vote.

Worse yet, there is no way we can even make this trade and no version of a deal has been submitted that is possible under the CBA yet everyone else doesn't know anything about how the NBA works.

yeah, it is basically the same trade as Zaza and picks for Dwight and JRich.

Orlando gets scrubs, cap space, and picks for Dwight and bad contracts. but yeah, it is basically what i said Dwight value is right now, which is only low draft picks and cap space.

if it is true, i think the Magic made a big mistake with Afflalo, you are trying to get rid of JRich bad contract, but then you just take on Afflalo's oversized really bad (Lin sized) contract for a rebuilding team, but good thing is that Afflalo could easily be traded later on, and still make a play at Harden and/or Tyreke to go along with their draft of Zeller or Noel.

ITT: Arron Afflalo is as bad as Zaza, 2 picks > 3.

this just a ridiculous bad trade, but so is the current Afflalo and Harrington trade :banghead:

i want no part in Zaza's overpaid scrub contract, (or Afflalo and Harrington), i would rather just suspend Dwight and let him leave Orlando in shame

i was about to start a new thread, congratulating you guys on not making the Dwight trade, but i just decided to put it here.

good job by the Hawks in not being tricked in making an over hyped Dwight trade. i think Ferry is playing it smart and being patience. Hawks are in a good position next summer, and what i've learn from Dwight, is that it is not 100% certain that he is going to sign an extension, even if he is with the Lakers (i'll believe it when he actually signs it).

Return to Atlanta Hawks
