This is a telling stat from last season. Teague shot 42% from the field in games where he took 10 or less shots last year. He shot 50% from the field in games where he took more than 10 shots. This tells me that Teague performs a lot better when he Drew's dumbass isn't holding him back.

Or when he decides he has a pair? Let's not try and pretend as if Teague doesn't have confidence issues all on his own. The team did pick up Van Exel specifically to bring the "dog" out of him after all. The team even has Jeremy Lin's old coach on staff now.

There are no more excuses or blame being shifted. No more "Drew is holding him back" when article after article has come out of stating Drew can be heard all game telling Teague to go get the ball. No more "it's Joe's fault" when Joe took a step back and played the most off-ball that he had since Phoenix last season not to mention that he is now gone. Ferry has backed him, Drew has backed him, the captains have backed him so it's time he goes out and balls out. I don't see Louis or Devin as guys getting in his way but rather insurance if he can't take it upon himself to step up.

Well said. Harris and Lou Will are insurance in case Teague continues to play scared, and alternates between forcing drives into traffic and being scared to drive when the other team isn't even thinking about him.

Teague has all the skills and athleticism to be a premier PG, but I'm starting to wonder if he has the mindset and confidence to know when to attack, when to defer, and when to dish.

Heard some talk of possibly starting Stevenson to add some defensive pressure against Harden.

LD showed that he's comfortable with mostly two starting lineups

Teague
Stevenson
Korver
Josh
Al

and

Teague
Harris
Tolliver
Josh
Al

Well it should be announced sometime tomorrow before the game hopefully. I would expect to see Stevenson starting to defend against Harden. After that, no idea.

I have a feeling this year we will see many different lineups to plan matchups.
