Gentleman

If we keep our core team and just and a big ( healthy Greg Oden), would Tyreke be a player we should look hard at?

YES. Every team needs a player capable of creating his own shot. Tyreke has the size of a SG with the mindset of a PG.

He's not quite a top tier, franchise player; but I think he'd make a great addition. Whether as a backup to Teague, or a fellow starter. Evans has talent. He needs a strong coach and a winning organization to rescue him from the purgatory that is Sacramento basketball.

I've always liked Tyreke. The guy can play. His rookie year he averaged 20pts 5rbs 5asts. That really shows you what he is capable of doing if he plays in the right system. I think the Hawks could really benefit from a player that can create his own shot. RIght now Lou Williams is the only player that can create his own shot. I don't know what its going to take for Sacramento to trade Tyreke. He is currently owed a little over 5 million and he would be a restricted free agent in the off season. I think Morrow and Jenkins work salary wise... but its a terrible deal for Sacramento.

C - Horford, Zaza
PF - Smoove, Ivan
SF - Korver, Deshawn
SG - Tyreke, Lou
PG - Teague, Devin

That sounds like a pretty damn good starting line up. If we only had a SF that could defend...

I think Tyreke would struggle in a lineup with Teague as they are both guys better with the ball in their hands. I'd imagine he'd be better with Louis similar to how Louis used to play with Iggy in Philly. If he's targeted I'd assume that Teague would be expendable. If we are to resign Teague then I think OJ Mayo would be a much better fit with him in the backcourt.

I don't think Lou and Tyreke would work together well in the back court. They both need to ball to be efficient. Lou and Tyreke would call an iso every single play... dribble, dribble, dribble, end of shot clock, bad shot. I think Teague and Tyreke would work together better. I think Teague does a better job of setting up this teammates compared to Lou.

Yeah, OJ Mayo would be a great pick up for the Hawks but he isn't going anywhere. Dallas got him for 4 million dollars for 2 years. What a great price for OJ.

Well I just feel that Louis is more confident shooter with or without the ball than Teague. Lol, The guy simply doesn't hesitate on any scoring opportunities.

OJ actually has a player option for next season too and I think that it's practically a given that he'd opt out and cash in on his explosion ASAP. Him and Tyreke would actually be a pretty good overhaul to the backcourt if we could snag them together.

I didn't realize OJ had player option for next year. He would be a great for the Hawks. I think if we couldn't sign him tyreke would be a good 2nd option.

Reek and Mayo would be great if we could snag both. Thinking Reek takes over at the point, Teague gets traded, re-up Josh, and boom! We look good. Unfortunately, Dallas will do what they can to retain him. I still like Reek with the shooters we could put around him. A dream scenario would be to trade for D Will before the deadline, sign Evans & Oden, and re-sign Josh.
