Waived Tyler signed Mack

Post#1 » by Amerissexy » Wed Mar 6, 2013 8:25 pm

Hawks waive C Jeremy Tyler.
Tyler was added at the trade deadline, but he never had a long-term future with the Hawks.

Hawks sign G Shelvin Mack to a 10-day contract after waiving Jeremy Tyler on Wednesday.
Atlanta badly needs help in the backcourt, and after the team decided to move on from veteran Jannero Pargo earlier in the year, Mack will come in as a reinforcement. He'll be available to play immediately.

Mack is not a real point, but I am interested in seeing if his new found jump shot is a short term mirage or a legit fix in his mechanics making him a better shooter long term.

I don't understand this. If we were going to cut Tyler, then why didn't we just take Jenkins instead of Tyler?
