Here's a joke: Drew wants Teague.

Post#1 » by parson » Mon Jul 1, 2013 5:15 am

As if no one watched how Drew hated playing Teague the past 2 years, we have this tweet from Marc Stein:
Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 27m

As if their backcourt situation not sufficiently up in air ... hearing Bucks, at behest of new coach Larry Drew, pursuing RFA Jeff Teague

Guess Drew wants Ferry to have to match a high offer and mess up our salary structure. Or maybe they're trying to scare Jennings.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Is it really that surprising. Teague eventually blossomed under Drew. LD is not a fan of inexperienced young players, but Teague is a grizzled veteran at this point and LD knows exactly what to expect from JT0.

Teague has been notably silent since we drafted a PG with our 1st round pick...

Point is, I never felt like Drew wanted to play Teague. He'd pull him for a simple error, berate him in public for a mistake that Smith had also made, play Harris because "he was hot" but he'd let Teague blow up one game yet be lost on the bench the next . . .

Go back: there are many posts from us complaining about how Drew didn't like Teague.

The real joke is:

Where is his inquiry about Josh?

And MIL was very interested in Smith before they hired Drew.

Could be a question of fit as MIL already has Larry Sanders, Ilyasova, Henson and Gianni's manning the 3 & 4 spots.

Let Teague walk to Milwaukee. Thank Drew later. Dennis Schroeder is gonna be a MUCH better player than Jeff Teague.
