On the negative side, we'd have weaker perimeter defense and . . . and . . . and greatly fewer shots from just inside the 3.

Smith is better than Asik but we'd play better with the latter.

better rebounding is the only thing I agree with you on. well, and maybe better interior defense. but better offensive spacing. who will create spacing out of that line-up? Jenkins he has not made big shots on a consistent basis yet. I don't not believe he is ready to be a starter, unless we are in tank mode. LouWil I like him but he is to easy to guard if he is you best scorer, just to small. I just don't see that team scoring enough to win more that 20 games.

Horford and Josh are not on the same level as Harden. Horford won't give the help that Dwight is looking for. Horford is a good guy, but just not that talented. Sames goes for Smith. Harden is as good as Westbrook and that is what Dwight is looking for. If Gasol and Howard didn't work, Horford and Howard would just be an epic fail.

Well...not an epic fail. Horford does not operate out of the low post. At all. He is almost exclusively a jump shooter and passer. His offensive skillset would not duplicate Gasol or Howard's. He'd complement Dwight well. But we agree AL is not talented enough to attract D12.

agree.

I've always maintained that Josh was more talented than AL. And that was always the problem. Smoove has more talent, but struggles to match the production of lesser players while taking many more shots.
It's a credit to AL's hard work and Josh's lack of efficiency.

20 Games?!?

U really think Smoove is the difference between a playoff team and the worst record in the league?
In theEast where losing teams regularly make the playoffs?

If your team loses that many games with All Star caliber talent onboard, it's because of coaching...

Hell, even the stinky Bobcats won 21 games.

But yes I do believe that Josh makes that much of a difference. Josh can't win you a championship, but he can trun a 10 or 9 seed into a 8 or 7. Horford, Asik, Lou Will, nor "Teague would do that.

MAYBE better interior defense? Smith was killed by big men inside when he played PF. They just backed him down. He is a weakside defender. We had a very weak interior defense.

Our spacing will be better because you won't have players backing off of Smith, begging him to shoot from outside. If we keep Teague, he and Williams, with Jenkins off the bench, will be good from outside. Don't forget, we have money. We WILL be signing FAs - we legally have to.

Lou Williams is "too easy to guard?" No, I don't think you're right on that.

20 games? You greatly overestimate the ability of Mr. Smith. Greatly.

parson. It seems I am not the only one that sees the value in Josh Smith. He is plan B if Houston doesn't land D12

I may be the only one who still likes Bogut but Biedrins is another story. For 3 late picks . . . gotta think about it.

How about if WE sent you a couple of picks for Barnes and Thompson? Bogut/Biedrins/Barnes/Thompson for 2 firsts: 2015 and 2017?

How to get Dwight Howard - let him play GM:

http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-pm-howard ... s-on-hawks

We obviously can't get Paul and Williams but if we sign Ellis, Morrow, Jackson and J-smoove we can field a team of Dwight Howard's buddies. That should convince him to sign ;)

SF: Smith / Jackson / Morrow
PF: Horford / Muscala / Scott
C: Howard / Bebe
PG: Ellis / Williams / Schroeder
SG: Korver / Jenkins / Cunnigham
