Shelvin Mack doesn't deserve to be on an NBA roster based on his play. Sorry dude.

Stevenson should be cut. $2M annually isn't a lot, but basketball finances necessitate cutting unnecessary costs.

I guess that it's complicated to get Mozgov and Gerald Henderson. But...

teague/schroder/lou will
Henderson/lou will/jenkins
korver/Henderson/Carrol
millsap/scott/brand
horford/Mozgov/Nogueira

Well, if the price for Oden is $3 million (Pelicans' offer) and D21 says we have $6.98 million available for one player, do we beat the Pelicans' offer for Oden?
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I guess it can't hurt.

On Mozgov and Henderson. I think we'd have to sign them to 3-year deals, which I think is a non-starter for Ferry. Also, almost any contract that we offered with our remaining cap space would just be matched.

Oh please, let sign Oden, since we want to see and test Al at PF with a dominant C, it has to be done now, not in one or two seasons.
It's a gamble because we are not sure it would be better than playing C, so it has to be test while we don't have long term contracts.
Bynum was maybe too much, even with half of his contract being unguaranteed, but Oden for 3M... let's offer him 4M for three years with third unguaranteed.

It's a perfect situation for him : better chance than NOP, just missing a C for 15-20min but ready to play without him if needed like back-to-back games.
Ferry has to get him

I don't know what Oden's other options look like, but I would say ATL would be one of his best. Sure, he could try to win now by riding the coat tales of the Heat or SAS, but he would have a chance to play a lot more and get paid more by us. IMO, he's exactly what the DR ordered. His size and length for short spurts would make us a very dangerous team. Coach Bud would have so many options with his bigs then that he could have tons of flexibility to get good match-ups at any point.

While getting Ivan back would be great, I think I would prefer someone who can play center.

Ferry has to be at least a player in the Oden race. HE HAS TO BE

I get why we would be interested in Oden, but why the heck would Oden have any interest in us?

We are so lowly regarded around the NBA...we are so irrelevant n league circles, it's sickening.
