Lou keeps scoring. Take him out, he's now the high scorer. Let the kiddies score.

there was this crazy sequence where he got the ball in transition and went 0-3 under the basket: he missed, got the board, missed again, got the board again, and then missed a third time. Before that he missed a 3 in the 1st.

with this win, we finally develop a consistent win-streak. 3 straight wins is a good momentum builder for our trip to Miami on Monday.

it'll remain easy after the Heat game, we have games against the Cavs, Bobcats, and Magic. We have got to take advantage of this opportunity to separate ourselves from the rest of the East's scrub population.
For a 4-8 team on the road the Cavs, Magic, and Celts all on the road are not easy. Bobcats are also playing well. If we go 3-2 to close the year out at 18-14 I will be happy.

no game is easy in the NBA, but these are pretty much as easy as it gets. These teams are in a good position in the Eastern Conference, but that's mostly because this conference has been the definition of terrible this season. The Magic gave us a pounding at home and the Celtics also handed us a home loss, but if we want to solidify our spot as the 3rd best team in the East and a decent playoff team then we have to win these types of games.

Re: 12/20/13 Jazz @ Hawks
Were not good enough to be thinking about solidifying anything. Kyrie, Dion, and Bynum is enough to have them favored against us on there floor. Boston beat Miami in Miami so them beating us on our floor is not strange. We play well together but don't have the talent to be talking about solidifying anything. If Rondo comes back then the Celts are better than us, if the Nets start playing well together they are clearly better than us. The Knicks are clearly more talented than us also. We are as talent deficient of a playoff team that you would ever want to see. We need to make a trade or two if we really want to start talking about solidifying a position.

Adnin, I'd bet my left foot this is tcorbin's new account.
He still hates on the roster since Josh is gone.
The profile was created right after Detroit's season started falling apart and we started to play well enough to be a top 4 team in the East....
I don't think he's gonna live up to the sig bet. He's had at least 4 different profiles here the last couple of years.

It's ok, not that I am calling him tcorbin if he's not, he sounds like him. But the sig bet thing was mostly me trying to prove my point that the Hawks are a playoff team, which I did. If tcorbin wants to hide and is not man enough to live up to his bet then he doesn't have to.

Perhaps. But what have Dion, Kyrie ever accomplished as a team in this league?
I'm not sure Rondo and Jeff Green are much of a threat to us.
Nets lost Brook Lopez for the year and have a terrible coach.
We're pretty much just as talented as last season. But much better coached...

Then how do you explain the standings right now? The Cavs (who have been relatively healthy) are just 10-15 on the season, and this is also a team we flat out embarrassed just 2 weeks ago. Also, Bynum hasn't done anything this year and he will not be anything like he was in LA after all those injuries. The Celtics are 12-15 and Rondo will most definitely not be the same player coming out of the gate in January, it'll take him at least a month or two before he's 100% if that that (an ACL injury is very serious), by February or March we'll be very much ahead of the Celtics in the standings: especially considering the fact that we're more talented than them even when they have Rondo back. The Nets aren't showing anything with Jason Kidd as the coach, and Brook Lopez just broke his foot and is done for the season. Then there's the Knicks, who despite the talent, haven't done anything so far this season. I understand that Chandler is now back for them, but I don't think he can fix that train-wreak by himself.
I don't know how you can we're talent deficient, is Horford not an All-Star caliber big man? Are Teague and Millsap not playing at an All-Star level? What about the fact that we have the game's best 3 point shooter on our team? While I do agree that the Cavs, Knicks, and Nets each have more talent than us, talent isn't everything: our coaching is much better than any of those teams, and our roster is plenty talented.

No, I am not Corbin and I am not here to start problems. I am simply stating that we have another chance to make it to the 2nd rd and we are once again going to do it with a talent deficient roster that can not compete with our likely 2nd rd opponent of the Pacers or Heat. We need to do something to add some frontline size or a wing upgrade to this team and I think we can do all this without sacrificing our future

I do agree with you that we can't compete in the 2nd round. We're not competing for any titles any time soon, but we can be a respectable 3rd place in the East and earn home-field and possibly get out of the first round. Then, we might have a lottery pick waiting for us courtesy of the Nets.

Other than having the lottery pick waiting for us we have done all of this before. We have entered the playoffs time and time again with a lack of personnel that would allow us to compete deep in the playoffs. People can dream all they want but if we don't get Parker or possibly Embiid nor Wiggins the said player will have a hard time starting for us and making the impact needed to push us to the next level day one.
Putting all of our faith in the draft is about as silly as putting it all into Dwight and or CP3 coming here. If we are serious about building we definitely need to make a couple of moves to improve this roster this season.

You're underestimating the Versatility of this team: look at the contracts of the players on our roster: The only players signed in long term (4 years or more) are Teague and Korver, and both are extremely tradable assets. We will have a massive amount of cap space again in just 2 years, we can decide to rebuild through cap space or we can easily tear it down and go for the rebuild. This is not the team we're gonna have out there long term, so there's no point in trading away future assets for short term players for this roster. Now, here's where the lotto pick comes into play: if we get a potential superstar in this draft (and it's loaded with potential superstars) then we can entice Free Agents to come to Atlanta. Danny Ferry has put this team in a position to succeed, so let's just enjoy this season and hope we go as deep into the playoffs as possible, but we're not gonna compete with Indiana or Miami no matter what moves we make.

I will move on after stating that I totally disagree with you. Ferry's drafting has netted us next to zero so-far. Ferry's FA signing's have not exactly netted us what we need either. Anyone that sits down and analyzes the players in this draft with facts will tell you that it is being overblown. Next, now your telling me let's wait 2 years for more cap space. We just had cap space and it got us re-signing Teague, Korver, and adding Millsap. Solid moves that are not pushing you to the next level.
Once again, our best hope is landing a top 3 pick and selecting a superstar. Putting all your faith in that is about as silly as putting faith in Dwight and or Paul to come here because it is most likely not going to happen. IMO, this franchise is being built more off of wishful thinking than planning and execution.

So what's your solution? Trade away picks for a win now player? What will will that do? There's no chance that we compete with Miami or Indiana right now, so our best bet is to be patient. Trying to trade for win now players will just put us on that same treadmill we were on from 2008-2012, before Ferry came.
