^All observations are both fair and accurate criticisms o K-Mart. He is indeed a limited player. Capable of lighting up one end of the floor and stinking up the other end.

I just often wonder why Kyle, whose greatest skillset is as a catch and shoot player, has never been a top level scorer. Even in our system, he's only avg 12 ppg as a starter getting plenty of burn. His career high, if I recall, is only 14 ppg.

K-Mart, for all of his flaws, reminds me of Rip Hamilton in his Wizards and (early) Pistons days. If he could be coaxed to putting in even the efort on 'D' that Kyle does, he could be a key, low-cost cog on a pretty good team.

Or I could be completely wrong...would not be the first time.

Because you have to run your entire offense around the catch and shoot player. Kyle isn't "that guy" anymore and I don't think any team runs that "reggie miller" offense anymore. Kyle could easily be a over 20 point per game scorer if you focus the entire offense on him. I honestly think JJ Reddick, hell, Jimmer Ferdette, Salim Stoudenmier(well...back when he wasn't fat and young), and any other catch and shoot guy with limitless energy. But I don't think we will ever see that offense again(although I don't know who Golden State with Mark freaking Jackson as the coach doesn't run it) because it gets your bigs into foul trouble to quickly with the way they call the game now and bigs are at a premium and much like having a running QB, if that main guy goes down, you are having to switch gears offensively because you can't run the same offense.

Its risky this day in age. I just think the Reggie Millers, Chuck Persons, Mitch Richmonds of the world are a think of the past.

^Thanks, RIP. That was a very detailed explanation and I sincerely appreciate it. I do have a question regarding how Martin has been able to put up that kind of production. Legitimately, as I have seen less than one half of a single T-Wolves game this year.

He's putting up 19 ppg, though the bulk of the shots/offense seems to normally go through L0ve and Pek. Is it more just standing at the 3-pt line and shooting when teams double the paint. Or are they running him off screens?

Also...I haven't heard a Salim Stoudemire reference in YEARS!!!!

He's also a very accomplished flopper as well which has benefited him throughout his career even with the recent multiple flop warnings and fines. Durant has gotten a lot of publicity for the "rip through" move but Martin was spamming that move for years himself. No coincidence that his FTrate has dropped precipitously since they outlawed that move as a shooting foul but he still gets to the line at the rate of a star.
