No Hawks vs Denver thread?

Post#1 » by PandaKidd » Mon Mar 17, 2014 3:41 pm

Did i miss it?

Was at the game obviously, typical Hawks, start out fast, hit 6-7 3 pointers, second unit CANT score. Schroeder to me regressed. So many forced shots, bad passes, just terrible play.

Another thing i noticed, the DS Whine , its getting more and more prevalent. Every mistake he whines and complains, very Josh Smith-like.

But Korver got hot, Pero hits a miracle shot, and we escape with a W. Any doubt Pero belongs on the team next year? not to me, deserves a spot off the bench.

^Yeah, I was a little disappointed no one put a thread together also. The last couple I created got very little action, so I left it for a more talented threadmaker to do.

Hawkdom is at its most uninterested since the lottery days at the beginning of the 2000s.

I've heard this a few times elsewhere. Very discouraging. Might be time to cut our losses.

I suspect DEN may have been tanking even harder than we are. Same with Utah and Milwaukee.

I'm so disillusioned with this roster.

MOZGOV looked TERRIBLE.just bone head play after bone head play.

Basically what I see is the second unit which was:
Brand
Mack
DS
Scott
???? ( i cant remember........sometimes there was a started in with them like Korver, or DMC)

they cant score, and its a ton of 1 on 1. Scott would score anytime they got him the ball on a side PNR, but having to create his own shot was tough. DS would basically put his head down and drive into the waiting 7 footers or get blocked from behind. Or wild off balanced 1 hander off the opposite side of the Banckboard. He looked about 5 steps behind.

Which is discouraging considering how ive seen him look the exact opposite.

the good thing i noticed, so we are up 2 and Teague comes to the line to ice it. he hits the first 1, front rims the second, gos up an gets the rebound, kicks it to Korver, they foul Korver and the games pretty much over.

Teague was EXTREMELY mad at himself, stomping his feet and yelling at himself for missing that freethrow, EVEN THOUGH his hustle got us the OREB and put Korver on the line. HE was still mad he missed the FT.

Korver iced both FTs and Devner called TO and Korver runs by Teague and says something to the effect of dont worry man, dont worry.

Im HAPPY Teague was mad at himself, he needs to make those shots, but, he stayed alert and got the OREB. So despite missing a critical shot, he didnt sulk, he got the OREB and helped us win. But he was upset he made the mistake in the first place.

Not sure we would have seen that last year from him
