The only way he can get the 7.5% is re-signing with DET, staying with them or being sign-&-traded.
But since he didn't ask for a Max contract, I think he prefers a good team with 30 minutes and 12M than 15M to stay with DET and Drummond (both are better at C, but can't play C at the same time...).
Which is why he's not opting out of DET.
