The D wasn't that bad. They hit like 4 threes more than 3 feet behind the line. You can't realistically defend a high screen THAT far out. There were multiple step back threes that are simply bad shots...but they hit them. Darrell Arthur was just tossing stuff up for a minute there.

But it happens. Cleveland when they went 11-11 from three in the first quarter, Jared Dudley deciding not to miss, Lou Will hitting 7 threes, last night...it just happens.

But three point shooting bigs give us trouble. I expect some issues with Morris against the Suns as well. We make up for not having a rim protector by swarming drives...it will win you more games then you will lose.

I don't think millsap is that good at close out on shooters, seems like most of their easy baskets were off of guys pump faking and him flying past them

It seems like the Hawks are good at defending teams that have a super star. But when it comes to teams that have players that don't really dominate the ball, it becomes more of a challenge.

Anyway, it is what it is, Denver had a great shooting night and the Hawks couldn't over come it.

I'm feeling a lot better about this game. The Nuggets won again today (against GSW), that is two wins for them, and that now pushes them pass the Nets in the win column and so increase the Nets/Hawks lottery position by a little .

FYI, GSW pulled the rest card and didn't play a handful of players including Curry, Bogut, Thompson, and Iguodala. DEN has been playing good ball of late but this game was much like our game against PHI a week or two ago - much more about who we didn't play over the final score. The fact is that we can be flat in a game every once in a while. Not happy about it, but it is what it is and I'll take a great team who shows up enough to put up the NBA's best record over a mediocre team who shows up to play every night.
