I don't handle know it all who admit they know nothing current about the subject well. That's like us talking about Russia and he talks about the Soviet Union and we are talking about modern day Russia. Why do you ask me a damn question and not the know it all who knows nothing?

Honestly, the only person who sounds like the KNOW IT ALL is you.

Fans in here get heated and we have mature discussions but not of it is at the expense of calling someone else foolish or insinuating they are idiots and you are some kind of superior blogger.

YOu sound like you know a lot about Tavares, surprised you arent a scout for the Hawks

As far as Tavares goes, he looks like he would get blown out of the water by the athleticism in the NBA. HE has some good skills, some good POTENTIAL. But I do not see any way hes a STARTER for at least another 2-3 years. Maybe ever.

He could potentially replace Brand (when he retires) or Pero if we dont resign him.

I dont see really any offensive game what so ever, he looks a like a really good rim protector for his size, but , hes also playing against much less skilled competition.

Talk about a self righteous idiot. Yeah, go back to your blog where all the real smart kids hang out. Take your ball and go home

I have 20+ years of organized basketball experience, I have season tickets to the hawks, I play 5-6 hours a week, I coach and mentor teenage kids, dont tell me I dont know basketball.

I just disagree with your assessment that Tavares is ready to come over and play just based on the limited stuff I have seen. I dont think hes a Starting caliber player yet.

Thats my opinion. Doesnt make me dumb if I dont agree with you.

Anyways... back to Kaminsky.

As I've only watched some highlights, I'm not going to claim to be knowledgeable about his potential. However, his game in most of the highlights I've seen, he reminds me of Dirk! He's really quick and agile, runs a really nice PnR, and can post up or shoot from deep. I think he'd be a perfect fit for the Hawks and could develop into a dangerous weapon under Bud's tutelage. So, if his ceiling in perhaps as high as Dirk, I'd take him in the top 5. Heck, being this close to the top of the draft, I'd even trade up for him if necessary.

I'd just as well get a solid FA wing than draft one. It sounds like the way we setup ourselves cap-wise, we could resign Paul and Demarie as well as sign a FA of good quality. My only concern there would be can we afford the draft pick as well.

As far as Tavares goes, I don't care how big he is, he's a limited player because he's not a shooter. He's also terrible on the PnR. So basically he's got an incomplete game with a nice physical upside. At best, he could be a Dalembert-type player: all defense and nothing on offense. That doesn't fit what works on this team at all, or not as well as what Kaminsky would bring immediately.

Actually this thread is getting locked. Too much name calling.
