If the trade was proposed years ago, long before there was a consensus that Josh stinks and Marc is one of the elite big men in the league...wouldn't that make it foresight?

A prediction that Marc could grow into a player greatly more effective and dominant than our own guy...seems like the OP had a bit of insight and perspective that many Hawks posters simply lacked.

I've been a lurker here for many years. I made this thread after Marc Gasol's rookie year and after concurrently realizing that Horford was really good and Smith was a glorified role player.

Not to belabor any point, but Josh Smith has always been Lamar Odom to me, potentially a really good role player, a guy who on a championship team is a fourth or fifth option (depending on who your first through third are).

The way Houston uses him is how he should've always been used.
