Dwight is just never happy where he is. He has an 18 month shelf life.

Dwight is a scumbag. He had a chance to come to Atlanta a few years ago and turned us down. Hawks ended up winning 60 games and building a great foundation.

Dwight couldn't handle the high IQ needed to work in Budz system, but i could be wrong, maybe coach Budz thinks he could work out?

Because of injuries and rapid decline in production and lack of loyalty, i don't want Dwight, I especially don't want Dwight as a max contract! Horford at max is high, but I would much rather have Horford at max then Dwight and his bad knees at max.

He left LAL to go to HOU where theres no state tax. Sorry, he made almost the SAME money going to Texas. This came out multiple times that summer.

The difference in income was like 3 million dollars.

Edit, sorry, it was around 9 million

Of course thats also not taking into account that he WANTED to be able to be a FA this year with the NEW TV money kicking in. Hes about money, period. Which is fine, I would be too. But I think everyone can agree that Dwight doesnt seem to have the work ethic/fire to really put in the time to get better. Hes relied 10000% completely on talent to get where hes at.

Anyone who challenges him to get better he ends up leaving or becoming unhappy with

To be honest, I don't think Dwight listens to many in terms of his work ethic or being a team 'leader'.

Has anyone figured out how much Houston is expecting to get for Dwight? Its definitely not the way the league is going because making your big man the top money maker is opposite of the great guard play that is going on in the league. Our style is closer to what the league is going with and both our big men can knock down the 3.

I gotta pass on Dwight, and let's watch him disintegrate in front of us in Brooklyn or Charlotte. The Hawks don't have 23M in waste to give back.

Also trading Al for Dwight also reduces or available cap space in the offseason to add free agents.
Al's cap hold would be approximately $18 million. Dwight's would be around $28 million.

Maybe having a new ownership is more appealing to Dwight now. In the past he never seemed to want to be a Hawk.

Agreed. I remember a throw away comment years ago, "They don't know how to act right". The assumption being that he was referring to the Atlanta Spirit ownership group after hearing all the negative experiences that Josh Smith endured as a player here.

So is Grant Hill making an impact to how this franchise is being perceived?

Sounds like Bud and Riley are still working on a Dwight transaction, so whoever wins changes the direction of their team immediately.
Will that change be positive is the question?

Things have changed for the better on on the court for us and behind the scenes at our arena.
Many things have have been upgraded to make it more appealing to players.

Dwight Howard would have have a positive impact during the postseason. Honestly, maybe he would like to be closer to home, and that's why Miami & Atlanta are being mentioned. Making It scenes his family and kids can watch him play is possibly becoming more of a priority to him.

He never has seemed to be truly happy to me since leaving Orlando.
