...despite missing most of the games this season. He sat out the first 43 games on the bench, though he was involved, to varying degrees, in scouting, game-planning, practices, etc.
Golden State finished 34-5 this year after Kerr returned in January,
Anyone else feel this is a clear makeup call for Kerr missing out on Coach of the Year last season when GSW won MVP, Top Record and the NBA Title?

Reigning COY Mike Budenholzer received a single vote, from SportingNews sportswriter Sean Deveney.

OT: Steve Kerr Named Coach of the Year
This is absolutely rewarding him for last year as well.
I get that all of Walton's wins in the record book transfer over to Kerr, but a coach who didn't coach for more than half the season should not be named COY.
I would've given it to Popovic.

Pop or Terry Stotts would have been my vote. Stotts lost 4 freaking starters and very well might go to the second round(or further honestly)

I agree on Stotts.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Stotts did a fantastic job for sure.
I'm very happy for him and the success that's he's had due to the loss on the team.
