I'm interested to see Cordinier. He is a highlight guy, but his scouting report has him as a combo guard, so I'll be interested in seeing his PG skills.

Man, I can't WAIT to see Taurean Prince in action.

I hope the coaching staff empowers him to come in, be aggressive and take possession of the SF position immediately.

His size and skillset is a perfect fit for what we do...and he's the highest drafted Hawk since AL Horford and Acie Law IV.

I want to see him play into his strengths on both sides of the court.

Watching the game right now, a few minutes left in the 1st quarter

Lamar Patterson's poise and vision on offense continues to impress me. His shot also looks smoother than I remember. I really think he can be a rotation guy for us, including in the playoffs. Worth noting though that Dekker has beat him a few times using quickness.

Edy still looks like a giraffe, had one play where he got the ball deep and with his man sealed but didn't or couldn't just dropstep and dunk it.

Nothing from Bembry yet.

Brandon Ashley looks muuuuuch worse than he did last summer league.

Great defense by Bembry on Dekker, closes out on the catch but maintains his balance and manages to dance back to close off the driving lane

Cordinier with crazy extension to finish the alley oop on a Patterson no-look lob.

That 2nd half was very interesting.

How about D12 sitting courtside w/Bud?
How about the athleticism of Cordinier?
How about Bembry in his intro to Bud's system? He looks like he knows how to share the ball.
The interesting guy is Kevin Pangos. Guy ones in and all he did was produce. Gonzaga product who could end up in training camp.

I like this summer team more than any I've seen under Bud already.

1st half today was nice, second not so much so far.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Hawks’ summer league statistics

The Hawks complete their Las Vegas Summer League with a 4-2 record. They went 2-1 in each of the opening round and tournament portion of the event.

Taurean Prince was the Hawks’ leading scorer at 13.7 points per game. He missed the first two games waiting for his trade to be official and sat out the finale.

Edy Tavares led the team in rebounds at 7.8 per game. Lamar Patterson led in assists at 4.3 per game before he was waived by the Hawks and claimed by the Kings.
Here

Taurean shot only 38% from the field and a sub-par 25% from three point range. Bembery avg 10 ppg, 5 rpg and 4 apg while shooting 27% from the field.

Those shooting numbers will have to improve greatly before they get consistent PT.

NOTE: Hawks 2015 draftee Kelly Oubre was named to the All-NBA Summer League Second Team for his performance in Las Vegas. He averaged 19.2 points per game, the 13th highest scoring average in Las Vegas, and also had 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game for the Wizards. Here

From the folks over at Hardwood Paroxysm:

Taurean Prince joined the Summer Hawks later than expected, but he more than made up for lost time. Prince, Bembry and Tim Hardaway Jr. will be duking it out all season to fill in as the fourth and fifth wings for Atlanta. Bazemore and Sefolosha have routinely defended the biggest wings in the league for the Hawks, but Prince’s size and athleticism make him a perfect fit for the LeBron defender the Hawks haven’t been able to find. Of course, Prince is just a rookie and isn’t anywhere near ready to actually step into that role next season, but there’s no doubt that the Atlanta coaching staff will be moving him in that direction.
Here

It's difficult to take too much from Summer League games. But by all accounts, Prince's defense is elite. And though he came from a team that primarily defended utilizing ZONE principles, his transition to man-to-man defense seems like it should be an easy one.
