Hornets, with slim playoff hopes, visit Hawks

Former Hawk and Atlanta native Dwight Howard returns to his hometown for the final time this season with a Charlotte team that's running out of time to make a dash for the playoffs.
The Hornets (29-39) visit Atlanta (20-48) in the second contest of a five-game road trip that will determine whether they have a legitimate chance of making up the ground needed to return to postseason.

Howard played last season in Atlanta, but was ill-suited for the offensive philosophy taught by coach Mike Budenholzer. The mismatch reached its peak in the playoffs, when Howard didn't get off the bench in the fourth quarter of several playoff games

Atlanta is now a club loaded with rookies and unproven players. At one point Tuesday, the Hawks fielded a team that included first-year players Damion Lee, Tyler Dorsey and first-round pick John Collins, along with Isaiah Taylor.

The Hornets were 3-1 against Atlanta last season and have won six of the last seven meetings

Go Dwight! Win this one for us.

I think this is the first season Dwight won't be in the playoffs since his second year in the league.

Looking forward to watching Kemba put up 40 on us.

I hope Taurean Prince keeps it going in a close game loss.

I'm predicting TyC getting under Dwight's skin and getting the patented Dwight shove.

Memphis is a 1 one point favorite in their game vs Chicago tonight. I would take Chicago to win!

Charlotte is favored to beat us by 5 points.
I hope it's a competitive game but one that we lose.

I'd be ok if they have games like the thunder... y'all want a close game, but that could also mean they could pull it out..lol... depending on the clock in the fourth.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Dwight keeps torturing his former teams. I don't mind it, we keep the tank rolling.

Good win for Charlotte.
Memphis loss by one point to Chicago.
Phoenix loss and the NY Knicks loss towards the end having leading the entire game.
