It's always nice to awaken and find my favorite NBA team has been a part of a historical, record-setting performance. :banghead:

I'm thinking there's a chance we draft a defensive big at some point this draft...

I think it's embarrassing to list Musc's career high(sic) in the same sentence as Towns' performance.

Don't mind me I'm kinda surly this week.

:D

As our Hawk team plays out the season, we who follow our beloved team closely are aware of the fact that
this year's team is in an extended training session. These players that we now see playing extended minutes
and even starting will be key to next season.

We all understand the idea of getting a high draft pick. If the pick ends up too low, Hawks may trade two
for one first round picks in order to move up. Or, we might do something else to move up. That's how bad
we want that high pick. Or, do we? We might go the other way and trade down.

With the potential of three first round picks plus a very high second rounder, we know that new players coming
here is a known fact. That brings us back to our original thought. Who, on our current roster, will be here
next season? Will we be able to hang on to some of them with a two way contract with our G League team?
How much trade value do these young players have? How many are free agents at season's end?

Dorsey has another season under contract. Moose just set a new scoring high for himself. Cleveland has yet
to play one minute. But, he's under contract. Will we keep him? What will our G Team look like next season?

Plumlee has a high priced contract, yet he gets few minutes in these games. Can he be traded or bought out?
So many questions. We don't know the answers. Even the brain thrust of the Hawks don't know right now. There
are too many things that can and will change over a period of time.

As we watch the remainder of this season, we continually ask ourselves, "How good is this guy? Is he a keeper?"
What will next year's teem look like? And, most of all, next season should see an end of our driving this tank
and our beloved team will be going for the win every night, all season long.

What do you think?

I know we're down and all that but listening to that interaction between Towns and Simmons totally pissed me off.

I instantly harkened back to OutKast getting booed at the inaugural Source awards back in '95. The crowd had no idea who they were. They mocked them and doubted them. They didn't believe they were anything special. But at the end of the day, just as Andre said, the South indeed had somethin' to say.

:x

I remember that moment like it happened yesterday. I was like, "But ... why're they booing tha 'Kast?"

You could tell Andre was pissed as he waited for Big Boi to get off the mic. I was so hyped after Andre spoke.

Ah, the memories.

Fun fact, that snippet of audio is actually included on Outkast's (best?) album Aquemini at the tail end of my all time fave Outkast track -- Chonkyfire.

It's been 20 years since I first heard that on the album, and I finally have some clarity on why they included it.

Thanks.

Every time I hear that clip, I stand up, take my shirt off, yell "Heyul yeah!" and bow up to anybody else that wanna f*ck wit' Hollywood Co'rt.

Gets kinda awkward when I'm at work ... sometimes. :)

Chonkyfire sure a great track I liked back in the days
It's still fire, but 20 years after... I get more goosebumps with that Big Boi verse on SpottieOttieDopaliscious or with Aquemini, maybe I tend to slow it down while getting older :D

Anyway, I am the only one who find strange to beat UTA like that and then a L Vs MIN, not that it was not hat we hoped for MIN, better keep them in the playoffs spot, but regarding UTA, I just realized that giving them one more L also help MIN to stay in the Top 8, and even if they didn't thought about it back in January, the other W Vs UTA and the one Vs DEN are actually good.
