I think Bagley compares more to a few of these guys.
Amare Stoudamire: When he came out, he was an athletic freak and nobody out athleticismed (lol) him. Bagley has had the same dominance in high school and Duke.
Rasheed Wallace: This is going to be a possible version of Bagley down the road. Wallace also came into the league with elite athleticism, over time his stroke become sweeter. Bagley in 4 years could resemble a Blazers Sheed. Good segway to...
Jermaine O’neal: Same deal with Jermaine. Came out as a high school but developed over time. Big man who has superior quickness for his size and a nice touch around the rim. Once he joined the Pacers he started dominated. I see a lot of Bagley here.
Tom Chambers: Elite power forward for the Sonics and Suns who would dunk in your face (well Mark Jackson’s) and shoot 15-20 footer with the best of them. He had a mid range game as well as an above the rim...could be Bagley a bit.
Amare difference is clear. Bagley is a much better overall athlete. Amare as a prospect might have been a more explosive athlete but outside of that, Bagley was significantly better as an offensive prospect. Bagley is just far more talented than Amare was. Amare game is based on instinct. Bagley thinks and reads the game.
Sheed has some similarities as a prospect, mainly the feel for the offensive side of the game and the fact that he is a thinker. That's about it.
I dont see O'Neal at all.
I dont see Chambers either.
I see a combination of Bosh/Rodman/Westbrook. Not saying hes the best of all but that's what he is most similar to for me.
