If TY can handle the duties well enough in SL and prove himself able to involve others, I don’t believed DS will make it to fall training camp.
It could be as easy as shipping him to CLE to help Sexton to try and be a playoff contender. Or if Bud wants to reunite, Bledsoe could be the guy.

I don’t see the self-annointed King coming back for a final hurrah.

I do think Trae has the spotlight on him this SL and will put up impressive production playing alongside much more talented teammates.

Even still, I hope he's coming off the bench behind a vet PG as a rookie. I think he'd benefit from consistent PT, but limited to 15-20 minutes a night for Year 1.

I highly doubt Cleveland will have that plan due to other options and finances.

I doubt we limit Young to 15 to 20 minutes per game.
He's a shooter and play maker and we have limited ones already. Besides, he will need to get in a groove and shoot, so he'll need a great deal of freedom. I expect him to average more minutes than you.

I'll be disappointed if Young isn't 25-30 minutes at least by February. I mean we're not trying to win.

And I'd be very okay with him transitioning from an early season bench role to playing the lion's share of the PG minutes after the AS break.

I just saw him pick up a number of bad habits last season playing for a bad Sooners program. He went from fantastic to dreadful in a matter of weeks.

I'd rather not repeat that series of events here.

Given we have a rookie head coach that's a really valid concern.

On a side note what are we calling Coach Lloyd Pierce? LP? LL-cool-P (eh maybe not)? Coach P? I'm going with LP. settled.

Dennis Smith Jr averaged 30mpg last year
Fox played 28 mpg
Ntillikina from the NYK played 20mpg

TY will get at least 30mpg......whether DS is here or not.

But playoff contenders/pretenders still need vet PGs...DS contract is very movable. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him in Brooklyn.
