Trae Young scored 14 points in the first half in his first game against Steph Curry. However, the rookie had seven turnovers -- the most in a half by a Hawks player in the last 20 seasons according to ESPN Stats and Info.

NBA Wrap: Stephen Curry schools Trae Young

The Stephen Curry vs Trae Young matchup went as expected, so now people might want to take a step back and let the rookie play.

Before the season began, the comparison for Young was Curry, simply because he’d hit a few from way downtown in college. The start of his rookie season hasn’t been amazing — he’s shooting just 24.8 percent from downtown — and his game against Curry’s Warriors left much to be desired, too.

Curry finished with 30 points, shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arc in the Golden State Warriors’ 128-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Young had 20 points, but shot 0-of-5 from downtown and committed seven turnovers, with his Hawks dropping to 5-19 on the season.

My word, fellow Hawks fans...

I guess this is better than yelling MVP at opposing team's players.

:(

Warriors wouldn't stay down. Hawks would fight their way up until they were only 8 behind. Warriors quickly had their
lead up to 15. Hawks would fight it down to 8 again. Warriors starters would come back with more points.

They killed us early. Then, like a pesky gnat, Hawks kept them busy, fighting us off. This is what happens when you
must face the best and your rookies aren't mature yet. But, they will grow. Waiting is hard, isn't it.....

Trae's horrible 3 point shooting is overshadowing everything else. He had a +/- of -3 in a game we got blown out while Lin had a -17.

Truth is that Trae abused Steph several times. Not saying Trae had a great game but there were a lot of positives. Starters +/- were mostly ok.

Baze was terrible. Prince and Dedmon end up with decent stat lines but seemed to be making mistakes all over the place. Prince seems totally lost out there.
