Damn. Just realized Trae makes more than Johnny and Bembry combined. Damn. It’s depressing yet fascinating anazlyzing the kid’s numbers right now.

I think he should try to “good foul” more. At 1.5 a game opposing players really don’t feel him.

He has 5 times as many blocked shots as And-1s.

-16 on court, -13 on/off net. Whoa.

.3 blocks per is the highlight of his line. 3 point attempts slowly decreasing thank you Jesus.

top REASONS TRAE IS CATCHING SO MUCH CRITICISM.

4. Turnovers - As of today, he's 6th worse in the league. Worst among rookies. (Though only slightly worse than Luka). But he's racking them up in less PT than anyone else in top 7.

3. Defense - He's really bad at it. Last in ESPN's DRPM

2. Shooting - Approaching historically bad levels of shooting numbers. Questionable shot selection

1. He ain't Luka.

I'm not that worried about turnovers. In fact if you look at TO% which is turnovers per 100 plays he's about even with guys like Ben Simmons and Dennis Smith. Plus Trae turns the ball over trying to make plays vs. the rest of this team that just dribbles off their foot.

Defense. That's no surprise. And he'll never have ok defensive stats until we are not a crappy team.

Mavs board..that way

Certainly not knocking you for it, you my guy, but I’m surprised you’re a Ride-or-Die Trae Supporter. Those numbers are screaming louder than Gilbert Godfried with headphones on.

No doubt the shooting numbers are horrid for Trae. For some reason though, I’m not the slightest bit worried. A guy that has range from 40 will adjust to 25 feet out sooner or later.

The Brooklyn Nets are a better team than you might realize...they entered Sunday’s contest against the Atlanta Hawks with the 15th best offensive rating in the NBA. They scored 109.0 points per 100 possessions, which is roughly league average so far this season.

...then the lowly Hawks gave up 144 points to the Nets on Sunday. One hundred and forty-four American points were scored by the Nets on Sunday. And it’s not like the Hawks have a horrendously embarrassing defense either. I mean… they entered that game with the 23rd ranked defense in the league, so it is bad. But it’s not Cleveland Cavaliers bad.

After that game, the Nets catapulted up to 10th in offensive rating. That 144-point outburst moved their offensive rating up a full point and five ranking spots. It dropped the Hawks’ defensive rating two spots to 25th.

All those facts don't really seem to support the assertion that the Nets are better than we realize.

Meh...their offense is surprisingly respectable given their lack of talent and the fact their [best] player is out injured.

Just seems like the real conclusion is that the Hawks D is actually much worse than the stats say.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
