Had a good feeling the Knicks were going to get discombobulated, eventually, if the Hawks kept pushing.

NYK Points...
First Quarter: 39
Second HALF: 38

Love Prince’s minutes being evenly distributed between Huerter, Bembry, and Baze. All considerably more valuable.

Pierce is finally earning himself some “Win Share” with his approach and lineups. It sounds insane but there may be a method to his madness by playing John in such a streamlined offensive role. Minimizing his turnovers and offensive fouls and what not.

Loved Trae’s floor game. Slowly but surely he’s learning defensive positioning to account for his lack of size. Mudiay was abusing him early but he figured it out. 7 free throw attempts to 0 three attempts shows he didn’t settle, 10 assists to 2 TOs shows he was locked in to the flow of the game.

I love watching Huerter on defense!

The wonders of Trae Young's game when he's not forcing shots. He didn't attempt a single 3-pointer, but rather he focused on setting up his teammates (10 assists and it could've easily been more - he set up Dedmon, Huerter and Bazemore with wide open 3s within the first five possessions of the game, each of which were missed) and taking the shots which were given to him. If he keeps that up, his FG% will climb back over 40% in no time.

Huerter was a steal at 19, if we're judging the draft by its early returns. He'll be in this league a decade from now (barring any serious injury). He's the best 3-point shooter on the team, is physically built to play this game, and is showing us some stuff on the defensive end.

John Collins is still the best player on this team, and if he keeps this up he'll be deserving of some serious all star consideration. He was a lotto talent in the 2017 draft and him falling to 19 is a case of GMs outsmarting themselves.

Nice game thread lw3, you always drop the knowledge and school is well! You’re game threads reminds me of getting the Sunday paper back in the day and reading the sport section...there was always more beef and you learned something new every week.

Well, we built some more team chemistry tonight. Double doubles from our future in Trae and Collins. Huerter is very fun to watch because he seems to make all the right plays out there....I mean there is a turnover here and there but he’s always at least attempting a heady play. His slam off the dribble in the early 3rd had me jump out of my seat. Then he bombed one from 4 pt land and hit.

Good game also from Baze...outside of that one shot where he hit the side of the backboard lol..not a bad night.

We gotta get back at it against a Knick like team in the Pistons on Sunday. I mean the Pistons are better but they are stuck in some sort of quicksand like the Knicks.

GO HAWKS!!!

:D
A lot has been said about how terrible this year's Hawk team is. Good to find that we are not alone.
Two wins in a row. WOW! And, maybe another one in Detroit before we come back to ground zero.

As we approach the trade deadline, several players are being mentioned. If they do go, who will replace
them? Seems that we have some G League players who can move up. We are not without assets.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL REAL GM POSTERS !!

Not the best win for our movement. Brazen tanking Knicks, and to think they believe some marquee FA will come join that mess.
