I think tonight is the night McCollum puts the Blazers on his shoulders and becomes #2 again although Jusuf turned out to be much better than I projected.

We catch a break with the oaktown hometown (mine) boy out. The rest of this road trip might be tough for the young guys. Let’s see what they got!

GO HAWKS!!!

Blazers 117
Hawks 108

McCollum 37 points 7 dimes
Nurkic 17 points 12 boards

Collins 27 and 9
Trae 22 and 8

Ps yes indeedy happy birthday VC!

Aye, guess what McCollum's spirit animal is?

Woodchuck. Get it? Would chuk ...

I'm here all week, tip your dolfans.

Trae had one his most efficient offensive games of the year. Kevin H was off tonight. JC solid as always.

Portland is considerably better than the sum of the parts. They’ve been working on their continuity for a few years now. You’re splitting hairs between Lilliard and McCollum running the offense. Add on one of the best homecourt advantages and I’m cool with a Competitank loss where Trae balls out (minus the turnovers of course). Just give me 5 assists and no turnovers once. 6 and 1. 7 and 2. I’m just tired of seeing 4+, especially when he’s using more fouls trying to defend.

Memphis won.
We need all the help we can get when we lose. I like winning but I still prefer having a higher % chance at the #1 pick.

Young looked like he had a good game from what I can tell by the box scores.

Wow Trae and Collins combined for 19-27 fg for 51 points of out team’s 111, good for 46% of the offense consisting of the duo.

New age Stockton and Malone may be right.

Lol. I’m a Bembry guy and I can’t blame you. When he was shooting well from three early in the season we should’ve put that sh@t in a frame and up on the mantle like a photo of a lost loved one. It ain’t coming back. Outside of that he regularly matches assists with turnovers, no FTs, and dreadful shooting in the 3-5 ft range. Consequently offensive advanced stats hate him with a passion.

Plus his defense absolutely stunk tonight. Actually Trae played better Defense on CJ than Bembry. Time to move on from that experiment.

I would have went with Nash Amare.

You may be right. Until we sign Al Horford this summer. Then possibly Stockton (Trae) to Malone (Hor)!

It was just enjoyable to watch us build an identity and trademark to our style of play.

Not mad at all. WouldChuk is a good player but overrated. Had a nice game.

And the only manner in which he exceeds Beal is in age.

:nonono:

Do not, I repeat, do not talk bad about any Hawk player right now. It's too close to the trade deadline to be
driving down the value of any Hawk. Save it until later. PLEASE!

Trae and Collins balled out, that's all I can ask for at this point. I think there was one point where Trae converted on eight straight field goal attempts. His second 30-point game this year. Not mad about the loss, don't want to win too much and jump outside of the bottom 5 of course.

Pierce messed up waiting too long bringing back the starters late in the 4th. Relatively close game, and good tank loss none the less.
