Did Trae's ball guide Tatum's ball into the basket? I'll have to look at it in slo-mo.

Trae did great, its not his fault that Tat had to make and made a miracle shot. I think the rest of NBA fans outside of ATL also saw that.

I can’t wait till lw3’s 3/16 @Boston game thread to see how he incorporates that ricochet Trae/Tatum shot.

I’m foreshadowing something clever no doubt.

Great showing by Trae and Collins in Rising Stars. They did ATL proud.

Here they are two of the four players highlighted in the recap. The other two being MVP winner Kuzma and Simmons

Trae was amazing in the Rising Stars game

He had the best 3 pt percentage (6-11) of all players in the game. And he was tied with Tatum for most 3 pt makes with 6.

He was second in assists with 10 behind only Fox who had 16 assists (Fox was only 1-3 FG).

Trae had more rebounds (with 7) than anyone not named Tatum or Ayton

He was the fourth highest scorer. He scored 25 points to Tatums 30 and Kuzma’s 35 but he did it with far fewer shots, 19 for Trae to 24 (Tatum) and 27 (Kuzma). Simmons beat him on efficiency and scoring total scoring 28 points on 17 shots (Simmons was an astounding 14-17) but Simmons did not take any 3 ptrs.

Y'all know what's funny?

If Young had struggled, how much stock would the Luka-cytes be putting into that exhibition?

"See he doesn't belong. He too schmall. Why's he even in this game? Blah, blah, bleh."

Since he played well, they all want to say Young overexerted himself to prove a point.

People are funny. Not really. I'm done with 'em.

Sorry, woke up surly. :-?

TrATL outperformed My-Name-Is-Luka in the game and skills challenge. The broadcast also should’ve had a bubble graphic hovering over Young that read “+ Mavs’ 2019 Lottery Pick” to lay this “bad trade” horse$hit to rest.

Yeah.

And it may end up being a bad trade. The point is, to call it now is still premature even as good as Doncic's rookie year has been.

And, when people refuse to acknowledge how close their numbers have been lately, that's plain disingenuous.

Their next move is, "But, but, but his size ... he'll never finish at the rim .. oh, his numbers are ok there too ... uh, but he's only 6'2" ..."

Becoming slightly concerned about John's ceiling. The last game has really exposed a lot of his weaknesses. Hopefully I'm overreacting.

Luka has the size, skills, IQ. Instincts to potentially be an All Star. That’s just the case. But it is very hard to predict a players trajectory even with all that in his favor.

There is a huge role played by luck but also factors like mental strength and character and leadership. Trae does and says things light years beyond his age.

Yeah and re the chatter that Trae was overexerting himself. I guess Ben Simmons and Jayson Tatum were also over exerting themselves - and had something they needed to prove
