Nah I looked at it more in that he was playing for the whistles and you really can't do that against the Spurs. He adjusted to that after the half but never seemingly had even what his normal floor effort is.
Has had poor shooting games in 2019 but overall this might have been his worst game of 2019 (the actual year of 2019). At least in those games, like for example the Chicago game he went 1-12, all of his reads on the PNR were correct and he played with overall great effort. Didn't see that effort much today. Weird. Last game was weird too outside of the trapping, so getting thrown out might have stemmed his momentum.
Most of the games have been fun and entertaining, but the last two weren't. Maybe a two day break will help.
Agreed. He adjusted in 2nd half 1-10 in 1st, 7-14 in 2nd. He had some incredible passes in the 1st that weren't converted.
We all want him to play well but he's still a rookie and will have nights like these.
Both him and Huerter struggled tonight.
