If Trae had been balling out the gate (almost an impossibility given his position, size, and John’s absence), he’d probably have a slight edge. As it is Luka has almost twice the Win Shares in 6 fewer games.

I must’ve been under a rock, I had no idea he was predominantly a 2 guard (THJr?). 7 boards, 6 assists, and a seemingly good ability to guard the tough 2s in the West (.9 defensive box) is major. Same as Trae’s 2:1 assist:turnover ratio at 27% usage and as many And-1s as Damian Lilliard. Barring injury both will have very long, exquisitely unique careers.
