Trae getting ready for that second showdown on Luka's turf.

Is there anyone in the East even challenging Trae for honors this month?

18.7 PPG
7.6 APG
.444 FG%
.337 3FG%

Thought his shooting numbers for January were going to be better than that. That said, his .577% TS% for January is pretty darn good with him averaging almost 5 FTA per game and shooting over 86%.

January is Trae's month. A home-heavy schedule in February should make him a favorite for those honors next month as well.

It's looking like he will be Rookie Of The Month for February as well if he continues playing like he has the first two games of the month. He probably should get heavy consideration for Eastern Conference Player Of The Week after the week he had. He absolutely killed that Western Conference road trip.

He completely manhandled every Western team he played. It was glorious to watch.

You got that right.

In Feb, Trae avg 23 ppg, 9 apg, 4 rpg on 43% shooting from 3-pt range.

Not only is he a shoo-in for Rookie of the Month honors, he has a legit shot at NBA Player of the week.
Avg 36 ppg, 9 apg and 4 rpg while currently shooting a blistering 58% from 3-pt range so far this week.

As far as I can tell, Trae led all EC rookies in scoring and assists for the month of March, which should make him a shoo-in for Rookie of the Month Honors.

Luka suffered through a brutal stretch, missed multiple games and saw his team slide near the bottom of the standings in the West. Seems like our guy should get the honor and move that much closer to the upset (or tie) for 'Rookie of the Year' that we so vehemently desire.
