Jabari is just a load when he gets down low. Some guys just need the right situation. I know we are trying to be a really good defensive team but goal number one is to out score. You need weapons and when you get to the playoffs you need guys who can get a hoop on their own. Jabari is a good signing for us.

Cam struggled but was able to stay active and play defense. He needs to keep shooting and not let 0-6 bring down his confidence.
Jab was great and Fernando played great. I'm not a fan of ET, but he looked good and if he can play defense, he could be a good backcourt teammate to Trae down the line.
I am a Turner fan. Looked good last night. Although Turner always has haters he also has fans who love him.
I believe Turner with his vast experience can help this Hawks team.

Chicks dig the round ball

One particular play in the lane where Jabari quick dunked it. I got outta my chair like Shaq in Oakland after the 2000 VC dunk contest like WHOA!
Some guys can play with weight and he’s one that can get you in his lil grotto whirlwind post up and lock you in with his..well aforementioned girth.
We may have stolen a #2 lotto pick as well. Nice work Schlenk. He’s pushed all the right buttons so far.

Hey ... this is just us talkin, right?
So I was never … never a Drummond fan but … if he plays like that … I mean, I'm just saying we have a pretty gaping hole in our lineup at the 5. I mean, I'm not saying … I'm jus' sayin'. I know we want stretchy-5's but surely we can use a skillset like that at the 5. There's clearly not much of a future in Michigan, right? They've clearly gotta hit the reset button here soon, right?
Anyways, let's just say I'll be watching to see if he actually keeps this up.

Stick with ur initial reaction to Drummond. Sometimes the girl you like comes around flaunting her stuff and looks great but then.. I dunno where I’m going with this but..
Drummond might fade is all I’m saying. He’s a robo rebounder though no doubt except when Collins went over his dome for a Len put back! BAM!

Great game, loved it. Hunter looked really good, JC was his usual dunking double double machine, my guy Trae was a superstar, Huerter looked very rusty. Parker a nice surprise. Fernando looked good offensively, but watching him try and guard Drummond reminded me of Drummond trying to guard Embiid. Not pretty.
Can't wait for Saturday night!

Yeah, I'll chalk it up to early season knee-jerkin'
The dude always starts fast then fades.

Drummond tends to start each season strong but eventually fades. Ask again at the quarter point.

Can't remember the last time a guy coming off the bench being that impactful, perhaps the Baseline Bum. Flip, Crawford, and Lou were great for the bench. Parker is just a beast inside when he's motivated.
Huerter and Cam couldn't score anything, and the Hawks still won going away. Cam is impressive contesting perimeter shots. Once Kevin starts getting into the groove of things is when this team can start taking the next step.

Part of winning is believing that you can. Home opener would be a great time to win #2 this season !!

Re: Game Thread: Hawks @ Pistons -- 10/24
The plan v. Orlando is simple:
1. Avoid turnovers
2. Continue to play sound defense
3. More player movement
4. Chill with the bad defensive rotations.
5. Make open jumpers as Orlando gives us less than normal.

Re: Game Thread: Hawks @ Pistons -- 10/24

Please Hawks. Do not let your win in game #1 go to your head and believe that you are much better than you really are. Orlando will be more than happy to spoil your 1st home game with a beating. Don't try to do too much too soon. They know that they beat you in pre season and believe that they can do it again. Beware! Don't let that first win go to your head.....
