Like how Kemba was chukkin' and dribblin' the ball off his own foot on a key possession late? Or how Lowry basically fouled Team Lebron to victory?
Conversely, I saw how Trae found Gobert for the game-tying alley oop in the closing seconds of the 3rd. Sure, he had some turns but they all had some moments.
True. But Kemba is a veteran. Trae is just a second year player. That last quarter was legit playoff intensity, which Trae has never seen. So Nurse went with his comfort zone.
Wake me up when Kemba has significantly more playoff experience than Trae. And Lowry has been known to fold in the clutch.
What you're saying makes sense, in theory. But when you really delve into it, doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Sticking with that lineup was what doomed them in that game. Trae may not have been the answer, but neither were Lowry nor Kemba.

And it was the wrong move.
They had an 11 point lead, all they had to do was keep pace scoring, they couldn't score because they had no willing and capable passers to set them up for easy buckets. It was empty possessuin after empty possesion. So it became a grind defensively. At least with Trae, the possibility of him logo launching would be an actual threat which would open up the interior.
Trae is second year player, but more importantly, he was named an all star starter. No excuse for an all star starter to only get 15 minutes of PT and no time in the 4th. Same BS happened to Luka on the other side, but at least they won.
I wasn't going to respond back because I didnt want this to feel like I was against Trae in general but I think you guys may have the homer glasses on a bit too hard here. First and foremost, Kyle "fold in the clutch" Lowry is a CHAMPION. Along with Siakam and coach Nurse. And even if you want to say Kawhi single handedly won them that championship, the Raptors have the second best record in the East now on a team plagued with injuries, when almost everybody thought they would be a 5-6th seed this year, tops. With all that said, it should be fairly understandable why coach Nurse rode with his champion work horses.
Secondly, Kemba is a 9 year veteran on a playoff contending team. And yes, his playoff experience is limited, but he has it. So who would you go with as a coach wanting to win in a playoff atmosphere against the frontline of CP3, Kawhi, and Lebron; a 9 year vet putting up 21 ppg on a playoff team or a 2nd year player putting up 30 ppg on the 2nd worst team in the league? If anything, I felt that Jimmy Butler should have played in the 4th instead of Kemba, but he hadn't been playing all that well. And lets not forget that Trae did play Friday night as well, so the odds of him playing heavy minutes were even less likely in a era where players are being coddled more than ever.
All in all, Trae is in his second year. Yeah it sucks that he didnt get more time, but there will be plenty more chances to come.
