Hawks get first look at revamped Magic



The Atlanta Hawks (31-26) will take on the Orlando Magic (18-39) Tuesday evening, looking to continue their winning ways as the push towards a return to the postseason. They will face a very different looking Orlando group than the one they last faced in early March, as the Magic made significant roster moves ahead of this season’s trade deadline.

All-Star center Nikola Vucevic, along with starters Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier, were all shipped out in late March as Orlando seemingly enters a rebuilding period. The team the Hawks will face on Tuesday evening is one of the worst in the league of late in terms of on-court performance, which was predictable after Orlando unloaded most of it’s starting lineup.

Atlanta will be significant favorites in this one, as Trae Young, John Collins and Clint Capela are all off the injury report entirely.

Overall, the Magic are 5-21 over their past 26 games, and 3-10 since the trade deadline. The Hawks meanwhile are 17-6 since early March, and seem to be meshing as a team at the most important part of the season.
