Atlanta Hawks host surging Phoenix Suns

Image

The Atlanta Hawks (36-30) will take on one of the NBA’s best Wednesday evening when they face the Phoenix Suns (47-18). Atlanta will have the rest advantage, as they were off on Tuesday while the Suns were in Cleveland getting an overtime victory over the Cavaliers.

The Hawks are the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference as of Wednesday morning, and will look to clinch their first winning season since 2016-17. Atlanta ranks 12th in the NBA with a +1.2 net rating, ranking ninth in offense (113.6) and 21st in defense (112.4).

Phoenix is tied with the Utah Jazz for best record in the NBA coming into play, and have the second best net rating (+6.4) in the NBA. They rank seventh in offensive rating (+115.9), fifth in defense (109.5), and ride a five-game winning streak into Atlanta. The Suns are 22-9 on the road this season after win in Cleveland. Led by Chris Paul and Devin Booker, Phoenix is one of the best two-way teams in the league and presents a great challenge for opponents on each end of the floor.

PHX won in OT last night vs Cleveland so hopefully they're feeling tired and satisfied today.

Anyone know how to watch Hawks games online other than paying for league pass. I finally ditched directv but now I can't use the fox sports app to watch games anymore. I used to use some website that was something like adt.he.fr but can't find it anymore.

Warmed my heart to see a full third unit close out the game, and be relatively healthy to do so.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Team effort tonight.
Wish everyone was healthy so we can see what a healthy team can do. Bring on the postseason.

:D
Atlanta had three different teams on the floor last night. Unit one, the starters, played well. The second unit, the back up
to the starters, exploded and ran away from the Suns. Then, to close out the game, the third unit took the floor for the final
four minutes. They held their opponent and didn't let them do anything.

Three five player units. Strange to see them as different teams. But they were. Fifteen healthy Hawks and still two players
who played a lot last season on the injured list. Coming together. Getting ready for the playoffs!

Last night's second unit - - WOW !!

I likes that the 2nd unit got a real chance to play a lot of minutes together last night to continue to build that chemistry. :ove the Lou to Gwu.

The second unit really did have a great night. I do not know what will be in the playoffs but this team has me hopeful. :)
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D
