I can’t imagine that Embiid will be healthy enough to play as soon as Wednesday. Dude looked horrible out there…

18 or more assist in a postseason game is the most ever....Trae Young!

Also this:
Young said he first hurt the shoulder in Game 3 on Friday, but noted: "I wasn't gonna tell nobody anyways other than the training staff" because he was adamant he would play in Game 4. He was not listed on the injury report prior to Game 4.
"It wasn't bothering me," Young said of his shoulder. "It was just fighting through it. Knowing it was kind of sore, I was trying to work it out and keep it warm throughout the game. I'm not blaming my shooting on my arm. I feel like I had a lot of good looks. The shots just weren't going in. I gotta be better at knocking down my shots."

Can't believe they won that game. The key is Nate finally took my advice and stopped playing that bum Bozoman Hill. Gutsy performance by Trae on a night his shot wasn't falling. Like a true baller, he led the way when it mattered most and assisted or scored on all of our final 15 points.
Hopefully Embiid's knee has had a enough and he can't play the rest of the series.

Nah, I want them 100% so none of these doubters have any excuses when assessing the Hawks.
It's hilarious the hoops and twists folk go through to avoid giving Trae credit. Saw where a guy literally said the Sixers all-defensive guys were struggling to stop Trae because they're afraid to guard him (the foul thing). Can't make this stuff up.
So now we're expected to believe the so-called best defenders in the league ... are afraid to guard a guy folks think isn't that good in the first place?

my favorite part of the playoffs has been seeing all the people in the media and on this board who have stepped forward and finally given Trae the credit he deserves. I can't count on two hands the amount of posts I've seen that have said "Trae young is a lot better than I thought he was". same with the media. Feels good to see people finally acknowledging what we've known for years.

Nice of them to finally watch a freaking game instead of just pooting forth their tired narrative(s) which weren't based on anything in the first place.
There's still a few silly narratives some are hanging onto though. As the team wins, they're made to look more and more ridiculous.

Here is my list of Trae Young narratives since he came into the league:
-he can't shoot
-only gets stats in garbage time
-doesn't try on defense
-will never be the best player on a playoff team
-will get exposed in playoffs when teams iso him and post him up all series long
-will get exposed in the playoffs when refs stop giving him foul calls
Am I missing any?

You forgot:
1. After 1 Summer league game - he is a bust
2 . Hawks made the mistake of the century trading for him
3. Wanna be Curry
One guy actually said, I've never watched him play, but with all the hoopla I watched him in G3 vs Philly and he's nothing special.

Another guy on the GB in the game thread said this" I'm struggling with Trae. He's clearly so very good but I can't seem to get over my initial impression of him as a hero ball, foul baiting chucker. He's better than I'm giving him credit for. I see that but I still can't quite accept
....and this is the problem with most of these people - they can't get over their first impression.

Re: Philly @ Atlanta Part IV: A Good Day to Die Hard
It was stressful win, but a win!
Trae tried too many alley-oops in the beginning of the game before getting everybody in rhythm, but he played better and better in the game.
The key on defense was what I was hoping they would do : make Embiid move, but never got in close contact with him, it's why he got "only" 8 FTs. Never try to block him too much in the paint or the ref will call a foul.
And just going on him on the 3pts line to make him move and betting back quickly to make him miss some long 2pts was great.
They really need to keep this kind of defense on him and limiting the fastbreaks, but be a bit more patient on offense in the first half.
