Alright, its that time of the year. Season is over, time for final report cards to go out. Regular season and playoffs are factored in this with playoffs obviously being considered more important than regular season.
Trae Young = A+: His regular season was a little sporadic which was probably in relation to him trying to run a team with all those injuries + playing for a POS coach who was conspiring against him behind his back. But, then the playoffs came and Trae showed without a doubt that he can be the best player, not just on a playoff team, but on a team that can win a title. The way he carried the team, especially on the road, was the stuff of legends. Took all the pressure and put it on himself and thrived. His teammates will recognize that and starting next year we will never hear another story about someone being unhappy with the way Trae is running the team. From now on it's 100% Trae's team and no one is going to dispute that.
Collins = B: Another solid season, but he never really established himself as the clear cut 2nd best player on the team. In the playoffs he was up and down. If anything, I came out of the playoffs thinking that we shouldn't give him a max deal. I didn't feel that way before the playoffs.
Hunter = B+: Injuries kept him from getting an A, but he showed enough in the regular season and playoffs to warrant a high B+. He was arguably our best player until he got hurt the first time.
Capela = B-: He lost a letter grade in the playoffs. His lack of finishing around the rim and poor FT shooting were very noticeable in the playoffs. His D is good, but not against top line offensive centers.
Bogi = C+: Hurt early, came back and was great for a month and then struggled more often than not in the playoffs. Then got hurt again. Another player who lost a letter grade in the playoffs.
Huerter = B: jack of all trades was asked to do a lot of different things this season and usually prevailed. Rough start to the year, but played well late. Up and down playoffs, but was asked to guard guys bigger and better than him pretty much every night. That said, his game 7 performance vs Philly was a highlight for the franchise for years to come. Would love to see him play a whole season coming off the bench with less responsibility thrust on his shoulders.
Okongwu = B+: Just got better and better as the year went on. Same for the playoffs where he started slow and then got better and better. Can't wait to see him next year.
Reddish = C+: looked great this last week, but not enough data to thrust him into B territory. But, before the playoffs he was in D territory so this is a good grade. Can't wait till next year with Cam.
Hill = D: Doesn't fail because he's a good locker room guy. As a player, he is awful and does nothing positive on the court.
Gallo = B+: Injuires early, but played well with his role and then was a key scorer for us off the bench in the playoffs. Also played surprising defense in the first two series.
Snell = F: When you lead the league in 3pt shooting in the regular season and the team tells you about it every 2 seconds, you get an F when you go 1/11 from 3 in the playoffs. Total waste of our time.
Goodwin = who cares: seriously, who cares? He sucks and he'll be gone before next season
Bruno F-ing Fernando = F-: You can't spell Bruno F-ing Fernando without a big fat F in there. Please be gone next year. It hurts my soul to watch this guy attempt basketball.
Dunn = F: probably twisted his ankle while I was writing this.
Lou Will = C: Did what he could, but he was bad more often than good. Won us a playoff game and also lost us at least one. Terrible at running the point so not really his fault.
Lloyd Pierce = D-: Saved himself a failing grade by saving the democratic party in Georgia.
Nate = A: Only thing keeping him from A+ was his poor use of Trae in game 6 loss.
Schlenk = A+: Can't argue with results.

My abbreviated grades:
Trae Young: B for Regular season. A- for postseason.
He at least battled defensively (occasionally). Offensively, he produced in a winning effort. His efficiency needs improvement, as does his off ball game. he still resorts to hero ball too often. But the kid is a star and has progressed well.
Bogdan Bogdan gets a B. His injuries really set us back. But when he came back healthy, the team really took off. He battled through nagging injuries in the playoffs.
Capela gets an A-. Dude is a warrior and a stabilizing force. Still not convinced he and Collins are a perfect fit on the court.
Nate gets an A+. He may have saved Schlenk's job and Trae's legacy in a single 4-month span.
Travis Schlenk gets a B+. Bringing back Lloyd was a questionable decision, especially with whispers that TS considered replacing the guy last summer. The Dunn and Rondo signings didn't pan out. The Dewayne Dedmon trade was necessary, but lacking veteran depth at Center hurt us in the postseason. Most of his other draft picks and signings have been great though.

Re: End of the season grades
I agree with almost everything you guys said...except, Shakes got Heurter a bit high and Bogs a bit low
I also agree with the Dedman comment....he would have helped in the playoffs. Snell didn't
I can't wait to see what Schlenk does to the team this summer. I'm firmly in the camp of tweeks and continued development of the young core. Collins is the BIG ? . I think someone is going to offer him more than I think he's worth
