I read an article and heard it on sports radio.

680 said he still wants to coach.

Edit: I have a feeling Coach Woodson will be considered by Jordan.

Iso-Wallace and Jax. YAY! :D

Both Miami and Orlando have dropped two straight games! We need to take advantage of this and win the next game and keep our win streak going. 3.5 games behind Miami.

Orlando goes on the road to face Boston today. It sure would be nice if Boston won and we win on the road against Miami tomorrow.

Dallas traded for Solomon Alabi. I'm mentioning this because I know some of you wanted us to draft him and have mentioned him on this board since the season started.

When we were discussing Calderon trade scenarios I mentioned Alabi as filler to get us a development big with length. It was countered that Toronto wouldn't want to deal him so soon. Guess he wasn't as valued as they thought.

Not sure what Dallas needed him for though considering they already had young development 7 footers on the roster that were unlikely to see minutes. Maybe they have something else in the works.

Alexis Ajinca was being shopped since they acquired him from Charlotte, so he never fit the long-term plans of the team. Solomon Alabi provides them with a cheap big man that they can focus on developing. Nothing is official yet.

Detroit was beating Miami until the end. Eddie House goes for a jumper with seconds left and Gordon fouled him sending him to the line to win the game for Miami.

Chicago beat Orlando.

Miami 32 14 .696 --
Atlanta 30 17 .638 2.5
Orlando 30 17 .638 2.5

Congrats to Paul Silas who is now the full-time Bobcats coach instead of just the interim man.

Second round of the dunk contest sucked, Blake's second dunk was all presentation.

I usually don't watch the majority of the all-star game....but it will tell you alot about people's personalities.

Joe had Kobe locked up in the 4th quarter BTW.

The Knicks are basically the new Nuggets w/ less interior defense and rebounding. I thought Melo going to the Lakers or Bulls(before the season)would have shaken the landscape of the NBA...but this just feels kinda "meh" to me.

Not a bad starting five, but I don't think they can overcome the gap to 5th place. I kind of hope that the new CBA makes it hard for them to get a 3rd superstar and they are stuck incomplete. I am happy the deal got done so other trades can start to flow. The league seemed to be stalled waiting for this one domino to fall.

Sounds like its gonna be difficult/impossible to land another superstar if your the Knicks. The new CBA will make sure of that. I, like Dallas, hope they dont land CP3.

Offense was never the problem with the Knicks and they now got worse defensively. The team will improve but it doesnt make them contenders. Its also hard to see them being contenders in 2012 and beyond.

Gerald Wallace traded to Portland, Pryzbilla sent Charlotte

The deal will send Joel Pryzbilla, cash and other players back to Charlotte. The Bobcats had been working hard to save money and that seems to be what they get out of this deal. Not players that make them better.http://www.fanfeedr.com/nba/2011/02/23/ ... -charlotte

Excellent trade for Portland.

It's going to be nice having Gerald Wallace out of Charlotte.

Willingness to take on salary and expiring contracts can net talent. If all it took was Pryzbilla then it is a steal.
