Too much money for THJ and the trade kicker makes it a toxic contract unless he blows up.

I don't want the Hawks to turn into Portland, and with contracts like this, the Knicks are going to turn into the Blazers contract mess.

Doubt if we even get one. But they seem to be on our target list and I'd rather go for them than like a Bojan Bog.

Timmy is a good guy and a good player, and he should take the 70 million and run.

I don't think this is a big deal for the Hawks. I think Bembry will step up, and we will just see split time between Prince, Bembry, Baze, and Belli at the SG/SF spots

Not sold on him for this current team's growth window, he's already 28. May turn out how I suspected, Belinelli might be the stopgap SG. Maybe CJ Miles might be a vet target otherwise Shabazz as a youngster.

between Belinelli, Crawford and Dunleavy you got that wing set :D

what's happening with Sefolosha? would love to sign n trade him for Lamb or something

Goodbye Tim. There's no reason to match this.

Thabo's probably as good as gone. Wouldn't be surprised if he latched on to a contender in the coming days. He can still contribute to a championship run with his defense.

Schlenk probably doesn't know about realgm and doesn't know about us or even care about what we think, but just on the very small off chance he does go on realgm, i just want to say...

You have already draft his replacement guys. Dorsey is really good pick and can provide you the shooting that you need

The fact that it's exactly 1 million more than Bazemore's contract tells me that the Knicks are the ultimate trolls.

From all the talk we heard last summer, I had a feeling THJ might play his way out of our price range.
Good for him. That's a lot of money.

We shouldn't match this.

There is a certain irony in us overpaying to obtain THJ in trade two summers ago. And Knicks overpaying to get him back now.

NOTE: This one contract is more than his father made in his entire NBA career.

Ive seen him with the youth NT. 1st and most a shooter, and can slash a bit, he is SG all the way, he has to work his play making skills. On D he is tries, but doesnt have the tools to be great. Overall i can imagine him to replicate down the years what THJ gives you more or less on the fraction of the price. I actually wanted him to the Bucks since he fits nicely with Giannis.

12.8/2.7/1.2 on .329/.262/.636 in 33 minutes is not gonna get it done in the playoffs man.
LOL I went and looked at Bazemore's performance in the playoffs last year: 11.9/3.8/3.3 on .364/.292/.714 in 33 minutes.

The only difference between Bazemore and THJ is on the regular season impact.
In the playoffs games, particularly games 1, 2 and 6, he had negative impact, but on the season, he ended with the best Net On/Off court of ATL, ahead of Millsap, while Bazemore is in negative.

THJ in 2016-17

Bazemore in 2015-16 (better than in 2016-17...)

Now, I hoped a 50M/4yrs, think they could match at 60M if they had a chance to trade Bazemore, but at 71M... no way, he didn't show enough in a contract year to get it, like Bazemore last year, even if I'm sure he will be a better player than him.
