I was fine with him until Lonzo was drafted. I figured he was just a carnival barker or w/e. Unfortunately it seems he's jumped the shark of buying into his own hype.

He should be trying to find the middle Ball an opportunity to play at a lower level (more commensurate with his talent-level), get him a free education and plug him in as the legit businessman behind their 'empire' or w/e. That kid doesn't have a future playing basketball really.

I still have questions about the youngest one as well considering how he's (not) being developed.

^Looking forward to the day the oldest sons stand up to Lavar and tell him to butt out.

It's an important day for a lot of kids who come from less than stellar parentage.

LiAngelo should go play in obscurity for some mid-major, craft his own legacy and get an education. College really is fun. Much more fun that playing in some g0d forsaken minor league for $30,000 a year.

A return to college is unlikely — LaVar has global dreams for his Big Baller Brand and one of his children playing overseas can help promote that. LiAngelo is going to get his own Big Baller Brand shoe and he likely will get a chance somewhere overseas, although not likely with an elite team (he would need to earn that spot).

With LaMelo being pulled out of high school, it is less likely he ends up at UCLA, even though he committed there. LaMelo has incredible shooting range, but people who have seen him had serious questions about his defense and basically every [other] part of his game.

Sources: LaMelo, LiAngelo Ball exploring options to play professionally overseas

Harrison Gaines, the representative for LaMelo, 16, and LiAngelo, 19, started initial contact with overseas teams this week, sources told Yahoo Sports.

For LaMelo and LiAngelo, the decision to turn pro means the end of their prospective collegiate careers. LaMelo Ball had previously committed to UCLA.

I wish those kids the best, I really do. But I think they are kidding bad advice and the shaft as their dad tries to ride their coattails.

Kids should be allowed to behave like kids, out of the limelight.

Their story is gonna make a helluva 30 for 30 in a decade or so.

Lavar may mean well but it's one thing pumping up Lonzo before the draft, pushing his shoe etc. but now games are playing he needs to step away and let that young man control his NBA destiny.

As for pulling his kids from college - Tennis and golf prospects (yes I know it's not basketball) bypass college to hit the pros, a lot of these young Euro's who we daft play professionally from a young age without the 'US college experience'. How that translates for an American kid with the 'Lavar baggage' is a problem though.
Can it work - who knows? Maybe, but I think because of Lavar and his penchant for interfering I don't think it'll work with them playing on a Euro team, they are too entitled. Will he tell the coach how to coach his sons? He might want to be an assistant coach? Maybe in China? Team up with a shoe company ala Starbury.

But my thing is, I don't think he's been bad for them until fairly recently so there wasn't much need for a rebellion. I imagine the message he's given them privately is vastly different than the message publicly. A strong argument could be made that Lonzo wouldn'tve been drafted as high without the hype generated by his dad's mouth.

However, with these recent few events, he's making life-changing decisions (which trend toward negative outcomes) for them in addition to simply running his mouth.

Now, it's a problem. Do you really want ol' sticky-fingers playing overseas? Really? He gon' mess around and have the most highly-rated 'Locked up Abroad' episode ever.

Yes. Going crazy here. Once again they suck at predicting. We were supposed to just have a dusting here in town.

Took me 2 hours to go 3 miles from work to my daughter's school, then another hour to go 17 miles home. :nonono:

Man. That sucks guys. Crazy that the city is still just as susceptible to light snow now as it was a decades ago. (Blizzard of '93? Anyone?)

Took me about 2.5 hrs to get the kg0's from school. Usually takes about 20min.

Gotta love Atlanta.

This forecast was botched by the local meteorologists/weather system. Last night, watching the news, they said 1 inch of snow for the city and up to 2' for other parts of the state.

Now, some parts of the state are getting up to 6' and it's been falling non-stop all day. This city gets upended if this much snow falls WITH warning. Now, this came out of nowhere. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

What a fail by the weather forecasters, smh.
I have a good 8" of snowfall in my yard (fun for the kids), but branches are falling from the weight of the snow and we have no power.
We are all safe and warm by the fireplace.

City's lucky that the night of the snow it was 34 degrees throughout the night, just above freezing. If it had been 32 or lower then everything might've shut down.
