Hunter is what I call a non proactive player, he likes to diagnose and be reactive to the defense vs being proactive and force the defense to react to him. He doesn't have a natural feel and instinct for the game. Hopefully under Quinn, we can see some improvement there.
And part of that is experience. CC understands his guy is above the freethrow line, which means if DH can get by his guy with CCs guy not being in the paint, clear badket.

Offense hasn't been much of an issue if any. Behind elite offenses like Den, Sac, Indy, etc. the Hawks are like a tier below them. Defense has always been the problem going back years.

From clamoring for a defensive stalwart at center before Capela who's taking a step back, that issue is coming up full circle.

The fact Trae is no longer one of the most frequent users of the of the PnR in the NBA is -- unsettling. Possibly the best Pick and Roll passer in the world.
