Hawks called about Durant, Suns said what about Beal? Hawks say....mmmm what assets you giving us to take his albatross, Suns say 5 seconds, Hawks say no and ask for Dunn, Oso and 2 1sts. Suns say no. Hawks say cool and bye.

It's then reported Hawks interested in Beal. This is more likely than the Hawks calling to inquire about Beal.

Very possible. Even likely...

Also, the way that report is worded -- “Of all the teams Phoenix canvassed..."

It's very possible Phoenix called around pleading for teams to take Brad Beal off their hands.

NOTE: Beal, on that contract, is a negative value asset. We're in agreement there.
But in the right role, I do believe he can still be a very useful basketball player.

Trae Young trade chatter ‘has noticeably quieted down’

“Questions about their futures with their current teams are already in circulation and it’s not even May yet,” Marc Stein and Jake Fischer wrote. “Atlanta’s Trae Young? The noise on that front, compared to the chatter bubbling in Atlanta after the Hawks’ 2023-24 season ended, has noticeably quieted down.”

The lady mentions (briefly) Brooklyn as a spot for Trae as they look for a star and offensive QB for their incoming rookie class. :sour:

Pass. No thank you

A bold trade proposal from Bleacher Report has sparked intense discussion among NBA fans, envisioning Atlanta Hawks’ All-Star point guard Trae Young joining the Miami Heat this summer.

The deal, as outlined by @WadexFlash on X, would see Miami acquire Young in exchange for a hefty package: Terry Rozier, Duncan Robinson, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, Pelle Larsson, a 2025 first-round pick, and a 2030 first-round pick.

Trae having a healthy Jalen Johnson is what I look forward to seeing. Even Jalen next to OO will be exciting.

We need size and defense from our bench.

Young is eligible for a four-year, $228.6 million max extension this offseason.

You trade him!

Brooklyn is an ideal teamion due to their picks and payroll. Trae gives Brooklyn much needed energy that they need and the rivalry with the Knicks becomes more intense.

The franchise that drafted (and subsequently traded) all of DeAaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton & Davion Mitchell is now looking for a long term PG?!?

If I was Trae, I'd tell the Kings I have no interest in signing an extension.

Nope.
Nets don't have a single building block player available to include and contrary to what you keep saying, I don't see the Hawks rebuilding with 6 Picks on one draft.

I never said we should have the 6 picks.

We have already looked to trade Trae in the past. It could very well be us that made the call.

I think any past conversations went more so as "let's see what a Trae Young trade would actually look like" vs " We gotta move this guy ASAP".

DJM being traded instead kinda supports that. If the market suggested there was more to gain by trading Trae, he very well might've been the one traded. Since it was DJM, I believe teams weren't offering enough beyond what DJM got us that would satisfy the value request to trade Trae.

Teams are probably constantly checking in on Trae to see if there is some kind of buy low trade that can be had ala Sacramento looking for a PGOTF.

I agree.

Kings may want a first round pick in what is a deep draft. Trae might not even be the main topic. The Kings need defense.

I expect teams to call in regards to Dyson Daniels.
